Good idea...I will try that next summer. I hope your bees are wintering well...we have lots of snow here in Eastern Ontario and the weather has been cold as well. I will be snowshoeing out to check the bees in the next few days.
Hey next time just take out 3 or 4 of the center frames. Make them all wet with sugar water before you do the first main shake. Then then just fall and can't fly around. Plus they'll be busy feeding.
