its not the same company, harmonix makes rock band, harmonix made guitar hero 1,2 and rock the 80's, activision(neversoft, whichever) made the 3rd, aerosmith and this. harmonix left them and made rock band, but i am definitely for gh hero, cause i just like it more for some reason, especially world tour (got it the day it came out for ps3, but i have to wait till Christmas to play it, cause i don't have my ps3, but i got to play it Sunday and that was it, pretty fun on drums)
