  • Wayo, I can build a much more powerful PC for probably half the price of that piece of shit.

  • I'm getting my on March. I have to remind my dad, that he can't open it without me!!!

  • im getting me one soon i really hate windows pcs and really want an imac im buying the new one with a intel i7 processor!

  • Lol

  • What stupid shit. I think you put something useful, but not. My 2 months born baby do more than you. Also, i buy those computers from tieves for an 1/8 of original price.

  • @trill4kill haters gonna hate

  • Sweet vid (y)

  • Oops.. Rellly, really nice! I want one.. For sure.. =-p

  • That's one bad ass set up ya got there man.. Niiiice!! Really, reaply

  • 6:27. iMac's boot sound!

  • @thuythi2

    Weird isnt it?

    xD

  • @2:00 what is tht a pic of jw. I thought it was something from criminal minds

  • So do you need to buy a Mac mini for the iMac or does it atomic start

  • The first thing you do is ruin the dock? How tragic!

  • @DeeKay0310 Hi Sorry for the late reply, yep the computer is all built in to the screen, 'All in One', yep allot of people get a bose sound system with their Mac Purchase as that and several other makes are sold through their stores. The internal sound built in is very descent, so I wouldn't rush out to get any additional features until you try it for yourself.

  • Helpful video (use of a tripod would be good). Did you do one of a walk through of doing the initial setup of the software? Do you have a web site?

I am headed over to set-up a new Apple iMac computer for my 79 year old Mom and 87 year old Dad. You are NEVER too old to jump into the digital age! God Bless them and may I be able to share some knowledge with the two great parents that have taught me so much. Fiat Lux

  • @plumberdoc2 Hi! Thanks for the comment, this video is old now, the setup of the iMac was easy. Transferring information is slightly different as, you have a few options there, with MobileMe or Direct cable connections. Good luck with your setup, what I've found with training older people with new tech, is that their expecting it to be complicated, emphasising that Apple have created a computer for people that don't want to get technical and just want a computer to just work, seems to work

  • i got the 27 inch a month ago and i love it. but my friend through out the box and the recovery disks were in there. so i can't install windows.

  • @Nuclear793 The recovery discs aren't all that important, you can D/L most of apple's software from any decent Torrent site, 'isohunt', 'kickasstorrents' etc... plus I think you can speak to apple and they might be able to send you something as a replacement.

  • brother you are one lucky S.O.B im ditching my PC for iMac i wanna get 27" by spring tired of Personal Confuser, cheers mate

  • @ArmoredSaint848 Not as lucky as you think, I had to sell it 6 months later, because I moved to Canada, and I could afford to ship it, I was gutted to see it go, but had to be done, I will be getting another... oh yes!

  • @USAFFountain: You're obviously partial to a PC if you're asking.

  • I'm a PC user taking in consideration making the switch, relieved that there is something called boot camp where I can run some of my productive programs that I can't afford a Mac license yet. The thing that keeps me away is the cost.

  • @racsito39 sorry for the late rely, Yeah to be honest Boot camp it's all that, I use Parallels Desktop, a much better alternative and far less messy, but it depends what you use windows for, VBA and VBS scripting i wouldn't attempt BC, for anything else i'd use Parallels. I avoided Apple for long time because PCs were so cheap in comparison, but as I've come to learn, "You pay for what you get!"

  • get a mac then bootcamp windows. gaming problem fixed!

  • is the imac just a screen what do u plug it into ?? ???

  • @lj53534 just a screen, everything is all in one

  • @lj53534 the i mac has the tower in the back of the screen

  • boo!!! itally failed this year. Too bad Portugal got knocked out due to offside :P

  • nice wristband! (livestrong)

  • can u use it straight out of the box with what it comes with or do you need to buy anything else ?

  • @cannis808

you can use it straight away, as long you have electricity that is

  • @kubull i figured i should ask u i cant decide if i want an imac or a macbook pro seeing as u have both which do u prefer

  • could of use camtista to record

  • I SOO CANT WAIT FOR MY iMAC :D what processor have you got on ur imac? and whats the best for every day usage?. im loving the 27" but i fear its a little too big for my desk atm :L.

  • I think the iMac 27 is just the most amazing computer ever

I don't see why people are so bothered about the keyboard not being full because well the only thing missing is the number pad and the numbers are already along the top and I don't know about you guys but I never use my number pad anyway and it's the same with everyone i know we all prefer to just use the numbers at the top

    But anyways iMac RULES!!!!!!!!!

  • whats your desktop background? where did u get it?

  • A few hand-jobs in this video. :)

  • what a simple keyboard! there is not a full one?

  • What did you use to transfer over your data? Your Wi-Fi network or an external HDD?

  • @ParkesyyTech I used time machine, which is stored on a 1Tb external HD, very quick!

  • @kubull Did you just transfer over your apps and files?

  • @ParkesyyTech Cant remember to be honest, I'm not sure you get that option with TM, as it creates a snapshot of your HD, so when the new iMac pulled the info across it took everything.

  • @kubull So basically it pulls over everything on your Macintosh HD? If that's the case then go od. I'm getting an iMac (21.5 or 27", not too sure) and I wanted to know if the transfer was simple.

  • @ParkesyyTech 27" is lush! I'll always go for that size for everything lol the process was easy, it suggests it at the inital setup of the new machine, if you already have a mac with time machine, then just unplug the HD from your other mac and then plus it into your new iMac and away it goes. Simples!

  • @kubull At least I know how simple it is now -- Do you have the quad-core 27"?

  • I love my iMac i just got mine too!

  • i want to get an imac do u recommended :]

  • Man you need a tripod

  • @GhostFaceScotty Tell me about it, finally got one, but to late for this video! Do'h!

  • which one did you get. the dou core or the quad core with i5 or i7

  • if you're going to use it to work, buy another mouse, i have mine, but they could not failed more on this one, and get the keyboard with the numeric pad, if u need to type numbers fast at some point

and most of all, if you need to work on it with precision and for lots of hours, DON'T use wireless mouse, and this one doesn't have a batterie charger... well need to say more?

  • @thyago81 Your so right, the magic mouse is useless! I reviewed it in another video, I much prefered the mighty mouse! But over all I've heard logitech revolusions mouse is pritty awesome!

  • That's awesome. Getting my 27" i7 this June!

  • Great setup mate, congrats on new mac...ok changing from pc to mac just because of it!! Hate viruses and lock ups lol

  • Nice vid, thanx 4 showing setup

  • Great video!

Makes me wanna get a IMAC even more!

Is this the I7 version with the ATI 4850? Or the little older one?

    Good video!

  • @lucas199400 what is the advantage exactly of having an ATI graphics card? From my experience their support is way crappier, but that was back when I was a windows guy. (almost 2 years ago) But since apple chooses ATI for all but the base model, I figured there must be some advantage...

  • the only problem with the imacs, is that u can't upgrade... i bought mine exactly like this guy on the video... the only thing i would change (besides terrible mouse) would be the graphic card to a new Quadro for video and 3d performance

  • @thyago81 Internally a mac is just the same as a pc, so anyone can upgrade if you want to, I have a MBP 2004 model and I've upgraded the Ram and the harddrive, just the same as a pc user would, iMac are fully upgradable

  • @kubull does it come with wires for the keyboard on the mouse?

I don't wanna keep buying batteries...

    Please Reply!!

  • @littlesurfdude Dude, it's all on the apple website, if you want a wired mouse and keyboard you add it to the order, if you want wireless (like I did) then you choose that option. What ever tickles ya fancy! Good luck!

  • @lucas199400 it has the 4850 and the i7 which I have is a dream machine man, believe me worth getting it.

  • @lucas199400 Just the little older one, before the i7's came out, still a right belter though, with what I was doing with it wouldnt have noticed the different in speed.

  • hey man does the 27 still have screen problems

  • There's something magical about unboxing the new iMac haha. Or maybe that was just me. :)

  • @ChrisRx83 Me too lolol ^_^

  • lol there are 27 5 stars... how ironic

  • haha!! I'm cool with that! No more Ratings please! hehe

  • I don't care if it's outdated, because I'm not a gamer. The only thing against Macs are Games and the price now, and PC user can't stand, that theres a better computer than PCs and come always with the same thing, games, games, games. If you want to play games, buy a console, it's not that soon outdated!

  • Amen!

  • dude, you changed my complete thinking of pcs with your comment xD

I think i'm gonna sell my pc and buy a mac and a ps3. it's a great idea and i'm really sure, that i'm gonna do it. thx bro :DDD

  • if your comment wasn't ironic, i recommend the 27" inch imac. ;) 2560x1440 pixels. that's better than a full hd tv and you also get a quite good computer. and 1,699 $ are fair for this.

  • no, it wasn't ironic. I don't think, that i need a big screen like this, but i need to mess how much space will it take.

How loud is the mac? Can you go to sleep while he is running?

  • yeah, i can sleep while it's running, it's very very quiet.

  • Totally agree, if i want to play games, ill just buy the needed components and put them together and get a windows OS. If i want a reliable computer which will actually work, i will buy a mac. My Powerbook G4 served me for 7 years and it still does. I use it as daily laptop for school. Goes in and out, travels with me all the time, its all fine. I love the stability Apple gives us. Im writing this from a Windows 7 OS, I have it for 2 days now and i already had 3 blue screens caused by drivers.

  • Yeah. Same thing is windows vs linux 'you can't play games' Not everyone needs them. And if someone want to play..."buy a console".

  • @pabloenis good point.

  • @pabloenis That's what I think too. Just buy a PS3.

  • @pabloenis Please enlighten me as to how Macs are any better than a PC? I own both and am not partial to either but I wouldn't mind hearing some FACTS about your bold statement..

  • 4:44-4:49

    That's what she said

  • What PC makes this NEw iMac outdates??????

  • o.o What PC outthere makes this NEW iMac outdated????

  • aaaah hahaha, you are hilarious. Of course, the answer is: none!

No PC can outdate a Mac model.

  • Thats the nature of technology, give it a week and the latest PC you speak of will be out of date too.. as along as it looks good and works, whats the difference!

  • U are dumb.

  • No im a badass u are a failure get back on 4chan.

  • Technically the bank owns it, but I get to play with it!

  • Grats man! My broke ass needs to start saving those nickels!

  • i want one!
