Are those 18 inch rims? It looks lowered also... Im just wondering cause I have 18's on the way for my sol and am wondering about any problems you encountered with clearance
hey man i recently bought a 92 DelSol and i dont know how to open the roof. The pervious owner doesn't know as well. Would you be able to tell me how?
@ChromeBerry you have to unlock both clips on the top side, that can be locked with the key or not.. then you push on the clip and pull le lever to the center of the car, after that if you have the transtop or not yo uhave to remove it by yourself, or only put the hand brake and hold the top button on the side of the gauge cluster
@shifter510 in america its called a civic del sol. everywhere else its a crx del sol..its basicly a limited edition crx, or in america a limited edition civic.
Its not just removing the roof but how its removed.
I have one and it attracts more attention than any folding roof (which everyone else has).
Besides it took long because of the safety features and contributes to the long wearing of the motors on these things.
More than 18 years later its still going! More than a rag top (which needs a new roof every 5 years) or a modern hard top (that has sensors and servo problems).
not lazy at all... avoid you stop the car when you want to take of the roof... if it stoped im agree with you its lazy.. but the function is to avoid you stoping ....
Why else would they have powered rag tops and powered hard top convertibles for sale if people prefer pulling them back by hand.
Its also for safety so you can just pull over and operate the roof from seating position (still protected by the door) and not have to step outside the car where you are more succeptible to being hit ( while getting out) or attacked by a passerby (whilst preoccupied with the roof and your back turned around).

the transtop was actually notorious and not even available in the US because of how it affects the structural integrity of the vehicle

which del sols have an electric roof?
all esi?
TheRooocker 2 years ago
that was a fucking expensive option from honda, so not much was transtop ! and every model could come with it.
mcleod22 2 years ago
id rather take my targa top off my self its faster on my 1995 del sol
matthewkent1 2 years ago
That option work while rolling?
Norbeaelis 2 years ago
@Norbeaelis
Due to the safety features built in a rolling conversion is not allowed.
I prefer it this way actually since there has been several incidences of roofs catching on to things and wind misalligning them etc.
Besides, its classier doing it standing still and showing every passerby the transformation.

dude thats ku nd all but that shit took forever....

It's faster than manually doing it. Do some research. And learn to spell.

hmm its optional on an sir but they dont have alot of those here in america.
inFlicTed009 2 years ago
@inFlicTed009
It was not an option offered in US, or even Australia or Canada. It was only in Japan and Europe.
Sir by the way is the engine option, the roof is still an option even if you get the Sir Engine.
I have seen Sir's without the electric roof. And have seen non Sir's with the electric roof.
