  • Hi guys thanks for making this video ive been debating what to do to my 94 ram 1500. It has a 318 but ive seen people really kick it up with stroker kits.. Im almost convinced i want the procharger on mine.. Im relatively new to building and this will be my first build,, thanks for the idea bro... lots of help... MOPAR!!!!!!

  • How much was that specific ProCHarger kit, i have a 1996 dodge ram1500 with he 318 and it has connecting rod knocks on 2 of the cylinder when i start it when its cold. so in the next couple months im going to rebuild it with mild Performance parts and put a ProCharger in it with 360 heads and run it on E85 for better gas mialage and cleaner burn! Anyway nice setup man, was it difficult to do yourself?

  • @MoToXmaN59 This sounds like a great project! I think I paid close to $5k for my kit with upgrades. Installing it myself took quite a bit of time and effort, not gonna lie there. Well worth the effort!!

  • @jyeag Yeah it would be a great project for sure. How much horsepower is your motor putting out, and did you have to beef up the trans so it would be dependable? As of right now i may go with the pro charger or like a 66mm turbo with an inter cooler. The pro charger kit is more expensive but way easier to install with only minor fabrication if any, but the Turbo kit i am looking at is half the price but installing, fabricating, and tuning it would be a lot harder. So i am undecided.

  • @jyeag But when i do start my project here in the next couple months after i save up some cash, i will make a video of start to finish for you. I think i am aiming towards getting a used 360 long block from a junk yard, buying the 408 stroker kit, putting 78mm turbo on it with inter cooler, rebuilding the trans i have, and putting a tougher limited slip 373 rear end in it. Will keep you up dated bro. MOPAR FOR LIFE!!!

  • @MoToXmaN59 I'm guessing about 375 hp. I haven't fine tuned the fuel controller, needs chassis dyno time, but I figure it would get closer to 400 hp properly tuned. I'm keeping it rich under boost to be safe for the time being. I've done nothing to the trans except for adjusting the tv cable for firmer shifts, many years ago.

Adding cubic inches is a smart idea, too bad they discontinued the Magnum crate motors. Good luck with your project, keep me posted for sure!!

  • @MoToXmaN59 can't run on E85. Not good for your truck u must have a flex fuel vehicle. Trust me i kno. if not have fun changing injectors valves, rails, and possibly the fuel pump. I kno from experience

  • Hi love the truck i own a 98 ram ss/t black silver just rebuilt the motor my self and am interested in getting a pro charger but unsure what i need. if its not a bother caould you give me an idea of what i need to do to make it happen. Thanks alot Steve

  • @Manac87 Hi Steve, it was all a Procharger kit except for I upgraded the intercooler to a 3 row, and ordered the MSD boost timing master as well. There was a bit of tweaking but for the most part it was bolt on. I bought my kit from a dealer on Ebay.

  • With a stock pcm you dont need to run a BTM with the P-1 & a 3core.

Any more vids of here since?

Posted vid of my Indy with polished D-1SC & 3core smoking a Stang GT on the 1/4m

  • @rmindydotcom --Thanks, I have the retard pretty much all the way down now. I ordered it all together, made the seller on Ebay an offer for the kit, intercooler upgrade, and BTM, knocked about $600 off.

There is one more video here on my channel. Been having a lot of fun driving the Indyram lately, surprise lots of people with the 4.10's and supercharger! They don't suspect a thing ; )

I did get spanked one night by an SRT Challenger, that thing sounded sweet and I expected no different!

  • what kind of intake is that? i think that you should go with a bigger cone

  • where in ohio r u

  • Near Cleveland.

  • does the msd box do much ??

  • Near as I can tell, no. I'm still running quite a bit rich, still need dyno time and wb-o2 to tune. I'm not reaching full power levels because of this, and haven't heard any detonation. I think the big intercooler is a help, too. That being said, I'm still too chicken to turn the MSD down to zero!

  • Nice work man;I have a indy too.And I have plans to put a procharger on my truck. What charger do you have. And what other change that you make on your truck to installed the procharger. I just want a little power for my truck.I am new in Dodge Preformed i mustang guy.

  • It is a P1SC, upgraded to 3 core intercooler and MSD BTM. Really makes the truck come alive!

  • Great work, Jim!
