Randy is just trying to get American Idol views. He knows he's losing that job soon enough, because who even watches American Idol anymore? Now that X-Factor USA is here, American Idol is completely inferior. And then bring in a show like The Voice which actually stands as a beacon for GREAT singers (not a vehicle to embarrass and humiliate some by crushing their dreams) and he knows the show is doomed. So he's just trying to start up a "Lil Kim vs Nicki" type feud between the shows.

The Voice is about second chances and redemption. I like that. These artists are not "damaged goods" or "failed singers" as people say. I mean that's just rude. American Idol is cracking up under the pressure. They know they're on their way down and can't find their way back up so all they can do is try to belittle their competitions. It's especially hilarious when they say things like "look at our history and how successful we are" even though after how many seasons, the only successful artists they produced are probably Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Not only that, The Voice just started their second season. Plenty of time to build 'history'.

How is The Voice a second chance place?! I think it is a real singing show. It depends only on the voice. If you watch American Idol, there were people who got through because of their looks, but ofcourse didn't go too far. The voice creates more competition and real singers because if they don't have the voice, they won't get through, The judges don't even see them

They wanted Scotty and Lauren to win because they want to have more "counrty" winners from Idol. So they got rid of the better singers like Pia Toscano and Thia Megia for these two.
