Harry Mount is a disgrace to journalism.
In a childishly incompetent rant in the Independent he argued that tens of thousands of badgers should be slaughtered because people were confused about their true nature through having read the novel "The Wind in the Willows".
The paper printed a retort which pointed out that he "grossly oversimplified the complex background to the issue of killing badgers...The article was patronising, assertions were unattributed and facts were wrong."
