All this issue started by the bad mouthing of MGS. In APRIYA GAANGAL in Asianet News, MGS selected some songs sung by Venu and said that he hates those songs because Venu unjustly grabbed them from MGS. Venu gave a big blow back to MGS in his turn in the same program APRIYA GAANGAL by selecting Naada Roopini and said it is a pathetic song never deserve a national award. I do feel that M.G.S's comment is a response G.Venugopal when we recall an interview in some malayalam channel 2 or 3 years before in which G.Venugopal commenting on M.G.S, alleging that MGS has secured so many chances of Venugopal, by personally influencing on various music directors. VG is an excellent singer. No doubt of it. MGS became popular becuase of Mohanlal & Priyadarsan. MGS utilised the Priyan-Mohallal friendship effectively. VG is far far better than MGS. No Doubt. MGS doesnt deserve national award for "Nadaroopini". Its something foul play!! VG is absolutely right that there were execellent songs than Nadaroopini in that film. As to the voice.. MG has got a voice with more 'layam' than Venugopal's which is kind of nasal.

All this issue started by the bad mouthing of MGS. In APRIYA GAANGAL in Asianet News, MGS selected some songs sung by Venu and said that he hates those songs because Venu unjustly grabbed them from MGS. Venu gave a big blow back to MGS in his turn in the same program APRIYA GAANGAL by selecting Naada Roopini and said it is a pathetic song never deserve a national award. Venu was right, as besides the power of Ravidran Sir's composition, the voice through which the lyric executed is so pathetic.

I do feel that M.G.S's comment is a response G.Venugopal when we recall an interview in some malayalam channel 2 or 3 years before in which G.Venugopal commenting on M.G.S, alleging that MGS has secured so many chances of Venugopal, by personally influencing on various music directors. VG is an excellent singer. No doubt of it. MGS became popular becuase of Mohanlal & Priyadarsan. MGS utilised the Priyan-Mohallal friendship effectively. VG is far far better than MGS. No Doubt. MGS doesnt deserve national award for "Nadaroopini". Its something foul play!! VG is absolutely right that there were execellent songs than Nadaroopini in that film. As to the voice.. MG has got a voice with more 'layam' than Venugopal's which is kind of nasal.
Some pple here have said that its coz of Priyadarshan, Mohanlal etc that MG came up. MG hails from a music family. His brother MG Radhakrishnan is an excellent music director. MG would have become a playback singer even if there wasnt any priyan or mohanlal to pushh him up.

Hello man, who are you to blame G Venugopal.? comparing Venugopal, you are nothing. He sung very few songs, but all are touching songs. You had played alot of bloody game against him. That we can guess. We all are watching your bullshit comments on Star Singer Reality shows. As a singer and character wise Venugopal is a great singer. Without mohanlal you are zero. Remember all your popularity is only because of great musician MGR and lalettan.

Sreekumar, There is some magic in Venugopal's voice. Please try to accept this. That's why we malayalees loves him. Number of songs
is not enough for a good singer. You have also sung a few good songs. Don't ever comment on other singers. Because you are not too good.

The way Venu comments on the performance of realty shows,,proves Venu's wisdom, maturity and standard. Sreekumar's third class comments and flat jokes--proves his standard. Make up and costumes cannot give 'anthassu'

Venugopal is a very good singer and has won many state awards. Sreekumar is a good singer, but sreekumar's voice is not good

MG is a cunning business man he sell himself here..venu still in malyalies mind with his few songs..one question to MG.. did u ever imagined how others will hear the sweet melodies of venugopals in ur horrible voice.

There is something called "soul" which is lacking in any Sreekumar song plus he got a real horrible voice.
I am not a big fan of Venugopal or M G Sreekumar, but if put a gun to my head and asked to listen to their songs only, I would chose Venugopal all day all year.
