i love the technique collaboration with the vid and the music.. the vid takes you forward. while the music takes you back. kinda demonstrates how looking into our past makes us go forward =)
the video track with the bumper shots through paris, is actually its own short film called c'etait un rendezvous (its a date). it was made in 1976! believ dat
On 7th of August 2009 a delivery boy from "curry in a hurry" attached his nokia N95 to the front of his peugeot speedfight moped and sped through the streets of Cheltenham to deliver a chicken madras and keema naan within the 15 minute deadline. He did it!
"The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.
Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago."
"On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.
No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit."
i agree with you (misslisey) but i depsise you for being so stuck up the irony of you using thier lyrics open your eyes when you attack someone - who uses txt talk just cos thier making a point saying thier not cultured. Which by the way is so broad that for all you know they probably are cultured just in a whole new area of film, art and song mabye???
Clearly if you were cultured you would know this video was from the 1970's and is well placed with this song. Maybe you should listen to the lyrics and open your eyes... this video is amazing.
who da hell du you tink u r telin me im nt cultured? iv clearly listend 2 thes lyrics nd stil fond da video disapointin nd u using a random fact bot da video dusnt strenthen ur argument its a matr of opinion u cnt say one's rite nd ones wrong!nd plz refrain 4m obvious pathetic puns
Misslisey - I agree with you that the video is amazing. However I'm sure everyone else will agree that you're a steaming pile of shit ...... that cultured enough for you love. Now run along, there's a good girl
see if you take the guitar part at the beginning its almost as if the black eyed peas have taken it for 'i gotta feelin' (i hate that song) but it just seems like they may have ripped this off and noones really noticed typically due to the completely different styles of music. Black eyed peas being the shit of the two!
in itunes it may not show you need to right click on the the top it says like artist and song name and stuff. click make sure play count has a check next to it. if it does then scroll around your itunes left to right to see if you can find it. hope that helps
does any of you know how long snow patrol plays and why they where even a pregroup on the 360 tour. Probably not and thats cos your just full of shit and lack brains to begin with
i cant argue with somebody who has no knowledge for melody harmony etc. , by the way all of those band such as snow patrol, Coldplay, Keen and so fourth were influenced by U2, thats all i meant and you were the one who started cursing first. I was just enjoynd the music too. Sno patrol have long way to go until they can reach the fame of U2.. maybe thats way there were just an opening band,,, just like MUSE,, who are mush more original and gifted.. good luck to you
ye its different, its more monotonous and not that interesting, thats the difference between something good and something great:)) by the way this is opinion of a professional musician who has much more knowledge , success and experience than any of you scumbags and amature fucks
i really do hate listening to them. You can be musically perfect, but it can still sound like absolute crap if people don't like it. I for one think snow patrol is amazing.
If you are so great calling us amature fucks, how about you show us what gives you so much experience and talent and musical genius.
then i'll listen up. but for now your just talking smack.... and truthfully i'm only writing this for fun
This was filmed in Paris, France by Claude Lelouch in the 70's for a short movie called "C'etait un rendez-vous" (in english : That was a rendezvous / date)
