The Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) did not do this and nor did the Rightly Guided Khulafaa, nor any of the (other) Companions (radhi-yallaahu 'anhum) and nor the Imaams of the (Pious) Predecessors (rahima-humullaah). This being with their vast reading and assistance in spreading it's (the Qur'ân's) message and knowing it's rulings. So the saying of this and adhering to it after finishing the reading (of the Qur'ân) is an innovation.
It has been confirmed on the authority of the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) that he said:
((Anyone who introduces something into this matter of ours (i.e. Islaam), that which is not from it, will have it rejected)) - this (narration) is agreed upon (by both Imaam al-Bukhaaree and Imaam Muslim).
And in another narration:
((Anyone who does an act which is not in agreement with us, then he will have it rejected)) - narrated by Muslim.
And with Allaah lies all success and may Allaah send prayers and salutations upon our Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) and his family and his companions.

Alhamdulillah I now understand. May Allah forgive us for our ignorance ameen. Brothers n sisters pleace make duah that if I have indeed sinned than I should be forgiven and guided. JazakAllah khair for the Fatwa.
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu 'alayhe wa salaam) never used to say sadaqallahul 'adeem everytime he finished reciting the Quran nor have His companions therefore its a bid'ah, since they are our example. Duas could become bid'ah too bro/sis, anyhow im sure the scholars have said something about this as i've read it somewhere i'll find for u inshaAllah.
Allah SWT* says in Surah Al Ma'idah chapt 5 verse 2 "Help you one another in virtue, righteousness and piety..." So all I am doing is encouraging the brother/sister to recite. This duah means "May the charity of Allah the most high be upon you." This is my daleel brother. So inshaAllah speak with daleel before you label something as "Bid'ah."
sori bro/sis i mistranslated ok for the sake of arguement we say Allah had spoken the truth. What is the harm? Allah always speaks truth... InshaAlalh brother/sister I would appreciate if you brought me some daleel because I fear the fire of Bid'ah... And please excuse me for I've newly entered the salaf from taqleed on Imam Abu Hanifa r.a.
