This logo was produced by myself (Jim Mahoney) and Bennett Leeds when we were employed at HB in the 1980's. it was based on the existing 2D version. Bennett and I made this with custom code on a VAX running VMS, written in "C". I believe we presented it to the studio in 1985 in an attempt to encourage the studio to pursue 3D animation. Bennett wrote the animation code and I wrote the renderer. We did this work on our own time (mainly weekends). Very happy to hear people liked it! :)

@2000rubs It wasn't actually a Powerpuff Girls DVD, but an episode of the Powerpuff Girls called "Telephonies" on a Cartoon Network DVD called "Toon Foolery" which you used to get free with a Cartoon Network magazine. But now you can buy the DVD from either Amazon or Ebay. :)
PALcromat Conversion. They have a speedup or pitchup back then. Now the bugs are taken out of PALcromat. Also Sometimes, they sell tapes or DVD-videos for broadcasting purposes or You're using a Region 1 DVD on a region 2 player.
I've seen this one at the end of some Powerpuff Girls episodes. The Hanna-Barbera reference fades in here as opposed to it just popping in other times.
the music sounds like a robot!

UK uses PAL And the programme is originally NTSC
Coincidence?
Also, in the 90s PAL From NTSC conversions are sped up
Coincidence?

I think the higher pitch is because the source film was played at 25 frames per second instead of 24
