I couldn't stand Margaret Thatcher and still can't. But I agree we had no choice but to fight back from the Falklands. And I too have to say it was handled well, apart from the Belgrano incident, and was a well deserved victory on both Thatcher's and the Soldiers' parts. If only she had the same attitude toward Hong Kong and China. She invaded the Falklands to save them from a military dictatorship, and yet handed Hong Kong over to a Communist dictatorship without consultation.
@WorldNews92 A couple of billion Chinese was the difference. & like it or not you cant do anything against such numbers. The other thing is that Hong Kong was only ever leased off the Chinese it was never "ours" & when the lease ran out there was nothing we could do legally or politically.
I've never particularly liked Thatcher's policies, but I can do nothing but applaud her handling of the Falklands War - yes, it won her a second term, which cynics point out, but it's not like she let them invade to create a PR victory - she defended a nation that nobody else was prepared to defend, against a regime that was oppressive and evil.

Its AMAZING how the british, living on a tiny island dominated the world. Build the largest empire ever seen. Very impressive.
