@steph4691 Actually, as you know, everyone considers Snape to be a deatheaer. As Voldemort has taken over the Ministry of Magic and put Snape into the status of the headmaster of Hogwarts, they search for Harry. The "Harry killed Dumbledore" is of course a false trail. They do not want Harry to be found because of killing Dumbledore, but because Voldemort wants to kill him. I hope you understand what I mean to say it's a bit dificult to explain =)

I love this scene! The fact that Snape deflected McGonnagal's spells into the Carrow twins shows how badass he is! I love that he fled, it doesn't show that he's a coward, it shows that he knew the fight would lead to one of then dying, and he didn't want to have to kill her, as they were friends! I love Severus Snape! :D

@OctavioHVC It's so sad that J.K. bothered to write such a compelling character as Snape, and so many are just too oblivious to understand him. If anyone thinks Snape 'ran away' in this scene, it indicates a total lack of comprehension. I always said, McGonnagal could have killed him and he could have killed her but the point is he didn't want that and retreated, not worried if people thought he was 'scared.' That's what a true hero does. He goes on with the plan and is the ultimate hero

Oh and sorry, as you noticed Snape did not attack McGonagall back but my belief is different than a lot of people. Yes, McGonagall is a BAD-ASS, Ok? But Severus respected her as a Co-Worker. this aint even how it happened in the book. in the book after defeating the carrows harry luna and mcGonagall under the Invisibility cloak went down to warn the Heads of House that Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters were about to siege the Castle in an attempt to get Harry Potter. As they got down, they were stopped by Headmaster Severus Snape and the two teachers engaged in a duel. McGonagall was joined by Filius Flitwick, Pomona Sprout and Horace Slughorn. then snape flies out the window
