I think that's great that you incorporate children into your gardening. Will give them appreciation for gardening when they get older and more than likely will become gardeners themselves!
I eat the leaves. I like the ones which are very small and I barely cook them. The bigger ones are probably just as good too, though tough, so you would need to cook them for a long time.
I am new to gardening so this may be a silly question. When you harvested the heat of broccoli will a new heed now start to grow in its place?
