  • Wow Bro. Impacting the modern culture for Christ. This is exactly what Christ meant when He said, "Go and make disciples of all nations." And when Paul rebukes Peter's conformity in Acts. This man shows that the holiness of God trumps all of our top music artists, thus trumping our thoughts and ways of life. Praise God!

  • The same thing goes for so-called gospel artists who perpetuate false doctrines and debauchery through their lifestyles and music. But when you're honest about it, people want to call you a hater and a Pharisee. I wonder how many people judge Soulja Boy, Waka Flaka, Trey Songz, Bruno Mars, Drake, Beyonce, etc. but downloaded B-Slade's mixtape or sit up in Eddie Long's church. Judging with an uneven scale is an abomination (scripture). But I digress...Great poem :)

  • Word

  • Hey, who created Hip Hop or Rap?

  • He got a Power Balance! lol

  • But there is Christian Hip-Hop. I was also grown in the Hip-Hop culture, but after i found christian hip-hop I will never turn back to That secular nonsense. Type in These artist : Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Sho Baraka, Flame, Json, R-Swift, Da T.R.U.T.H., Ambassador, Canon, PRo, 116 Clique, & Canton Jones. If you want rappers who can kill a track, check them out !

  • @JesusFreak116clique saying kill is not good to tell the word god is better then saying that death in life is in the power the tongue if you say these things it belongs a habits we must deny ourselves carry the cross this is out of love here a scripture 2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? be bless no disrespect message me if you have any questions

  • @yourgoodfrienddave Kill as in They can rap and write awsome lyrics. It's slang talk

  • @JesusFreak116clique And group 1 crew :)

  • im tired of hip hop getting a bad rap..this poet is dope but he is helping perpetuate the idea that hip hop as a whole is bad and its just not true!! everybody wants 2 disect hip hop lyrics but nobody ever goes 2 the origin of the music...if u fix that, the music will fix itself

  • @KobaineCityEnt I disagree, I don't think he's perpetuating the idea of hip-hop as a whole being, he's speeking to a crowd of people who he knows whether they listen to each song or not, have some familiarity with it. This is more than likely the same genre he grew up around and why it's become a part of his testimony to Christ. It's often easier to see what's wrong/right with something when you used to be a part of it.

  • @Shahede7 i agree with what ur saying...i just wish he would have touched on inner city "situations" and "project living" and how no one gives a damn what happens to you as long your there...the music is only an interpretation to how some people are truely living, so you dont put negative connotations on the music, but if you put that same energy into changing how some people are forced to live then the negative music cant even exist...cant rap about guns and killing if it just doesnt exist

  • @KobaineCityEnt I see what you are saying BUT! As I listen to Christian rrap and hear the testimony of my brothers, they were in the same street situations as these secular artist. Just b/c they grew up a certain way doens not make them a victim. This poet could have easily grown up the same way, only difference is God becoming more important in his life.

  • @KobaineCityEnt you see even if the rappers didn't talk negative here is another if they talk about the world it's not good James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be friend of the world is the enemy of God.

  • nicely put

  • "You're supporting thEir downfall..." oh really? lol. No really, never thought of it from thAt angle. Thanks for that perspective...

  • Awsome and so True!! My love sings Love songs but I hope someday Those Love songs will Be for GOD :D

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, that was BOSSS!

  • i think what kind of 'music' needs to be clarified and label as one of satan's weapons. music was created by God.

  • You man this was tight

  • LOLOL!!! boy I was rollin at @2:00 - 2:04.....he was tellin the truth though!

  • Need my friends to hear this , this was in point...

  • Oh really? LOL very good :-)

  • Deeeep! So true.

  • too nice!!

  • Beautiful

  • Awesomeness as usual. And it's so funny because anytime I hear one of those songs I actually think the same thing! It's like, really Trey Songz? Really Soulja Boy? sigh... It's a shame.

  • this was funny ^_^ i like it though

  • PREEEEEEACH IIIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Interesting. But I cant enjoy their music? Hhmmmm.... I love this tho. Im just confused now.

  • @iDanceCSOiJerk Music is one of Satan's many weapons. Especially hip-hop cause it's glorifying self, material things, killing, pre-marital sex, etc. & God is against all of this. It's hard though to break away from it when you grew up in Hip-Hop same way i did. But you gotta come to a decision: do i wanna represent the things God is against? or, do i wanna represent what God is for? You can enjoy it. That's your decision. But just know that Jesus came & was crucified for this same reason.

  • @shel2185 I understand what your saying. Im not christian but I do believe in God. I try to be the best person that I can. I take from alot that I see on tv, things that I read in books. I never knew that it was wrong. I know that they sing and rap about things like that but never really paid it any mind. I think there was a part in the poem when he talks about how we let this type of music change our mood. Ima dancer and alot of it does move me in a way. Would instumentals be better?

  • @iDanceCSOiJerk Definitely! instrumentals are way better. but you can't help but to remember the lyrics especially if it's a song you like lol. Alot of ppl don't really pay any attention cause they figure it's just music & they probably would never do what they're saying. But when you co-sign their music, you're actually co-signing their beliefs that they are right. You believe in God? that's great! but the way to the Father, is through Jesus. You want real truth & knowledge? accept Jesus today!

  • @iDanceCSOiJerk believing in god is not enough even Satan believes Satan has to get permission from god before he attacks people the book of Job speaks about that good works will not get you into heaven

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  • @shel2185 i agree until u said especially hip hop...not a true statement, maybe since u only listened to hip hop is the reason u feel that way, but i've heard more questionable, satanic, ritual in rock than i have in hip hop!! Real Rock, not the jonas brothers lol

  • @KobaineCityEnt Oh yeah no doubt real rock music has that message sewn into them from the images, stage props, everything! i don't disagree at all.

  • @shel2185 Why not simply listen to Hip Hop that glorifies God? HIP HOP doesn't glorify those things, the people behind it do. We need to stop blaming inanimate things that do absolutely nothing. That's like saying guns kill people. Guns don't kill people, they don't pull triggers. People do.

  • @shel2185 Hip hop can also glorify God. Check out the 116 clique. You'll find real authentic Christian hip hop.

  • @shel2185 shame on you. bigot and intolerant fool. You clearly are a prejudiced person.

  • @rainisrian Oh really?? how can i be prejudice about a culture i have grown up in?? Not all hip-hop talks about the same thing but at the end of the day, does it glorify God? No. God doesn't exist in a grey area like we do: rationalizing whether this or that message is positive enough or judging whether this or that crime is worse. You are either with God or against God. simple & plain.

  • While I agree to some of his points in this video, hip-hop is not evil in general. There are a lot of talented hip-hop artists out there like Nujabes and hip-hop reggae artist, Matisyahu. I hate some hip hop rappers out there but please don't generalize hip-hop as an evil music. Don't get me wrong here. I listen more to rock songs but I do appreciate some hip-hop songs too.

  • @rainisrian Futhermore, how can you jump down my throat? this is my culture that is more than just the music you "kinda" listen to! I see what's going on in these streets everyday & the music these kids are listening to & the messages of these artists they listen to, are anything but positive.

  • @rainisrian Matisyahu is a Messianic Jew which is basically a Christian Jew. but I agree - not all hiphop artists are as explicit as mainstream, but most still curse which is still un-beneficial. but I understand where you are comin from

  • lmao i love it!; its great to see a young handsome youth so into christ! He's another one that didnt add to the statistics <3

  • well spoken truth, all praise to the most high

  • yoooooooo...you went in. is this from the last lyricist lounge or has there been another one already??? oh really? love it fam

  • These are so great and have so much meaning in them. Praise God. I'm looking forward for more in the future. : )

  • hot milk on fire!!!!
