If you're impatient forward your internal clock two or three weeks and then play...yeah it's sorta cheating but I never done it. It was a nice little bridge Konami typically places between real life and game in the MGS series.

@bobthespam If I remember correctly you need to defeat him with a tranquilizer and in order to get the camo you have to sneak up on him and hold him up. The Mic should help with that but be careful once you get behind him and hold him up for the moss camo becuase he sets off a flashbang as soon as the outfit pops out of him if I remember correctly.

For me, Modern Warfare 2 is a disgrace to virtual snipers. The game is full of "quickscopers" who think running around doing 360s and not even scope the rifle is actual sniping...

I've been a sniper ever since Medal of Honor for the PS1.

The End was the ultimate test of my abilities at stalking, waiting and planning, whereas the Battlefield games have been a test of my actual marksmanship.

use the micophone to hear his out of breathe and snoring. or go to your ps2 settings and speed you clock date 2 weeks and he will be dead. example if it is 2/1/09 then put your clock to 2/15/09 or a year doesnt matter. if you kill him with tranquilizer darts then you get his camo thats 100% in grassland areas and in light it refills your stamina any kind of light. let me know how it goes.

nope, if u beat him non-lethally ull get his tranquilizer sniper rifle as reward.

to get the moss camo, just sneak behind him with any gun (like a normal enemy) and aim up/down on his head until he replies "here, take it and go" or something.

if u dont, he will just throw a stun grenade and run away.

look for the sun reflecting from the glass of his gun.

if you do lose him look at the ground for his muddy footprints.

if you find him throw a flame grenade and then shoot him

*when you play the game again you have camo that will let you make no sound while your walking use that for him*

*before you get to where you see The End when are in the swamp (save the game) go straight but stick to left and that will atke you to a place where you can get a sniper rifle and kill The End where Volgin is tortoring that scientist guy and EVA. CAUTION: you will have 8-12 seconds to kill The End before he is carried away. The you will fight a unit of Ocelots. Good Luck!

god this guy was hard.... but probably the best and most fun boss fight ever. It was so rewarding to kill him and in a strange way i felt honored because he was such a hard boss to fight, hard to spot, a killer sniper, he even got me once, put me back to the lab too. My favourite boss battle ever in a video game. The End, just brilliant, he shud have been called the fear tho, cos i was fuckin shittin it when he came behind me after hours of searchin, scared the hell out of me.

Ya need to go behind him, i.e sneak up on him, with your tranq. gun, and do a "stick up". Sneak behind him, and aim at him, Snake will say something like "Freeze", The End will shake, drop ammo or his camo. and then do a runner.

I hope this helps. This fella, I think, is the best boss in the game!

NEVER EVER KILL THE END dumbasses. You miss out on his camouflage and his awesome rifle. Tranquilizer in the form of a rifle. Instead sneak up behind him and hold him up with a pistol.

Sneak up on him while hes asleep... hold him up and he'll give you his camo. This camo is really effective, it can reach up to 100% in some areas. You can get a sniper rifle from the armory in the southern part of the forest. Check his sniping position by opening the map and pressing Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right Circle Triangle. I think you'll have to do this every time you open the map.

If you catch his bird and let it go, it'll lead you to The End. If you kill it, he'll get pissed.

Sweetest cheat of all: There's a tree you can climb directly across from your starting point. Climb the tree and stand on the limb. There's a big rock wall behind it, so The End can't sneak up behind you.

Face outward. Look at about 10:00 and 2:00. The end will arrive at either of those spots off in the distance shortly and will only attempt to shoot you from those locations. If he falls asleep behind a tree, make some noise with a machine gun to wake him up.

The dying from old age should only be used if you haven't killed him with stamina. Once you have the camo and rifle just do the other thing. It's awesome the first time but after that you know what to expect.

A classic cheat can be used to find him, Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right Circe Triangle can be used to instantly find him on the map screen. Also, The End's Sniper Rifle gan be gotten in MGS4. awesome.
