I was attached to P-3 from 1979-1983, and painted that 12 ft. phantom man on the hanger doors and did a full rf4b on the metal shop wall..great memories..thanx

  • Wow, because of this video, I've been following the story of Col Stahlman... I hope justice can come of his tragic story.

  • I was in MALS-11 powerplants when they were decommissioned. I loved watching them do touch-and-gos and flying right over the barracks. What a sight...and noise.

  • Outstanding video. I was in VMFP3 from it's formation until 1978. I was on Det 3 on the USS MIdway. I worked Avionics Com/Nav at the IMA Level at H&MS11. Sad to see MCAS El Toro slowly disappear.

  • Great video! I was in this squadron from 1984 until it decommisioned in 1990. I was surprised to see myself in it. I'm the maintenance controller behind the desk. Really cool to see all the aircraft on the flight line including A/C 36 painted gloss black. I still have photos of it. Anyway Happy Birthday to all Marines, Happy Veterans Day to all mebers of our Nations Armed Forces and thanks for posting.
