You have a couple of wonderful dogs. I met an 80% Italian Greyhound mix and a Whippet yesterday and they both were sweethearts. They kind of look like mice on stilts. :-) My Golden Retriever would feel betrayed if I got one.

Thanks for the video - my Greyhound just passed, was hit by a car and I am considering when I get another dog someday, maybe one of these. Close to a Greyhound, but much smaller. And they seem to have some of the same personality traits has a Grey in how they play. Greyhounds and IG's are both such sweet loving dogs.
The cost of any dog is relative. Where do you live? Are you looking for a puppy or to rescue a dog? You could be looking at anywhere from $300.00 to$900.00......
I have a little grey IG and her name is Little Miss. she is the most spastic dog i have ever owned. Shes so damn funny though :P Deffinately a good family pet, only if you have an upbeat personality like these dogs do. Funniest, craziest, loviest, most random dog ive ever had. like the other day i had a hoodie on and was sitting on the couch, she runs up the couch and jumos in my hood and falls asleep :P shes a nut
beautiful dogs.. i love my italian greyhound chihuahua mixx.. just had 3 pups.. lots of personality and love to cuddle, great for families and kids, very cuddly and affectionate
our 12 week old IG potty training took a good solid three weeks -We have to watch her like a hawk and keep her confined to a very small area of our living room in order to prevent any mistakes. She sleeps all through the night in her crate without crying or issues (she loves her crate) but I have to make sure I am up at 6 am on the dot-get her outside otherwise, she will have a crate accident.

She's can get absolutely NUTTY! She goes through these weird spurts everyday where she literally bounces off the walls! Like a ping-pong ball.. My husband thinks she's the defect pup of the litter (awwww)
She's also always *pink*, so people think I dye her!! LOL
Typcial IG's!!! Love them so much!!! I am on my third one. I would not reccomend breeding them either since the rescues are full!!!! I was just notified today that the lady who rescue mine through had a call from a lady who's grandmother rescued one 7 yrs ago and the granny died and now the family wants to give the 14 yr old ig back. What a sad thing!!!! people are just hateful!!!!

@spacehopper75 Sure why not? My son was 6 when I got Briar. They love kids as long as they are respectful. Get a bigger boned one like mine. Not as easy to break.
@animallover151999 Well if you are going to breed this is an ok dog to do it. I have turned to rescue since I bought these dogs. I still have them all though. My concern with breeding is you never know what will happen to the puppies when they are sold. They are extremely hard to house train so they have a high turn over, meaning that when they can house break them they sell or give or surrender the pups often. They are also VERY fragile pups and small children can and will injure them easy.
@Italiangreyhoundmom Hi, I have two Italian Grey hounds and most of the time they go to the loo outside but not always. But I really would not trade them for any other breed in the world. They are the most loyal, loving pets I have ever had and I feel a wet patch on the carpet is a small price to pay. Your two are just gorgious.

Very cute! I'm trying to talk my fiancee to let me get an Italian greyhound when we move into our new apartment next June, but he doesn't like how skinny they look (he wants a German Shepherd, which is NOT an apartment dog). Hopefully I can talk him into getting a little gray IG!

@OgawaBurukku Don't get a German Shepperd unless you have the room for one. My IG is freaking awesome and i've never been much of a dog lover until we got her. I'm a guy obviously and I love this little dog... my wife gets mad that the dog pays more attention to me than it does to her. :D
Yeah, I talked him out of getting a big dog until we have a house with a backyard (I personally want a Great Dane someday). I found a black IG and it was love at first sight-- even for him! And now we've had Bus (our IG) for just over a month and my fiancee absolutely adores our puppy.
@Italiangreyhoundmom I have a 2 year old IG and she is a lover!!! She will NOT pee outside when it's cold, so I set up a wee wee station in the house. She now pees on rugs around the house. We are also not home for long periods of time due to work and she goes in the middle of the night several times. We have always had Westies and my husband has been in the pet industry for most of his life.We know Dogs, can you help?
@tinytoes409 I have one that will pee on rugs too, I put the pee pads on the rugs she likes to pee on when I leave the house. I tried to crate her and she would pee in the crate too. I have just learned to accept her the way she is. I am gone to work all day as well but I have a dog door with a fenced yard. She tends to pee inside at night, she doesn't like to go out in the dark alone. I wish I could help with the magic answer but I don't have one..... sorry. Good Luck.

@tinytoes409 I had two Igs, and it seemed to help that they both had someone to play with. We got out male first, and he became less destructive when we got our female, and he even taught her what to do potty wise, so we didn't have to potty train her. My brother and I were a little older when we got both of ours, but when I would babysit, the Igs were really good with the two boys I watched.
i always walk my IG off the leash. but i had to train him as a puppy to come back when called and heal. He is the first IG i have had but he always comes back when called.
All my dogs are pretty mellow...But of course I have more then one. I think they keep each other worn down. I DO NOT recomend having only one IG they need each other!
That is so cute. I love how they play. My sister has 2 italian greyhounds named Rocco and Izzy, and they act like that. They also jump really high. My sister also has the same exact blanket that you have-the soft blue one with white snowflakes. Italian greyhounds like to sleep under the blanket.

I love IGs! I have one grey/white male. He is really crazy too. He always makes me laugh with his over the top acrobatics. We got him as a pup in Dec 07 and we're really impressed with how smart he is. We read they are not good obedience dogs, but I have found he is great at it. He's in agility training.

That is so cute. I love how they play. My sister has 2 italian greyhounds named Rocco and Izzy, and they act like that. They also jump really high. My sister also has the same exact blanket that you have-the soft blue one with white snowflakes. Italian greyhounds like to sleep under the blanket.

Always be the "boss" in your pack. We are about to get our 4th IG on Valentines day so keep an eye out for new videos soon.

I love IGs! I have one grey/white male. He is really crazy too. He always makes me laugh with his over the top acrobatics. We got him as a pup in Dec 07 and we're really impressed with how smart he is. We read they are not good obedience dogs, but I have found he is great at it. He's in agility training.

i have an italian greyhound. He is white with black poka dota! He doesn't look like them that much, but the face looks the same! I LOVE ITALIAN GREYHOUNDS!

I definitely want an Italian Greyhound. They are so wired with energy, I wonder if that's why they tremble all the time, like they are trying so hard to keep all their excitement inside.
