  • can you eat the beets too?or are are they just for color?.were the beets raw? or cooked?

  • @pheadrasfall yes you can definitely eat the beets and yes they are raw and very healthy :)

  • I had sum wonderful pickled turnips at a Mediterrean Restaurant by my job the other day. They were a decoration on an order of Baba Goooge. They were AWESOME! They were a bit sweet, not overly sweet, just mildly sweet enough to taste. Can u add a bit of sugar to the recipe?

  • @hedmaime well you don't have to add any sugar, just add less salt.

  • it`s something new for me

  • @lallacuisine they are amazing and taste great with sandwiches :)

  • Last time I made pickles I through in about a half-cup of sambal into a 1 gallon jar. I imagine one option for heat is just using harissa. You'd get your heat and garlic from that. Then again that is probably spicier than most people like pickles. I love pickled vegetables that are VERY spicy.

  • @Fidasaind yes you can definitely add a few jalapenos or habanero peppers to this to to make it more spicey :)

  • oh my god, I've been doing it wrong for years! I've always used radishes and turnips. hahah I feel ridiculous now. I'll have to go get some beets and make it the proper way to redeem myself.
