FIA Cockpit test using Lifeline Zero 360 extinguisher system

Bought a 4ltr lifeline 2000 electric extinguisher kit today, happy with the quality etc. Can't put a price on safety.

The system is manually activated. The demonstration included leaving the fire for 15 seconds to take hold before the system was activated. Once the system was actiavted the fire was extinguished in a few seconds. In a real case scenario you would activate the system the moment you saw any indication of fire.

that didnt seem very productive, by the time it takes for the system to activate, your whole interior or whatever is burning has turned to ashes... It should activate immediately or button activated

You're clearly not a motorsport enthusiast then. The lifeline stuff is excellent quality and that was about 4 to 5 seconds from activation to the fire being extinguished.

tunn tunn tunnn hahah "CLEARLY" yes i am. btw its more like 15 seconds to activate, and any kind of extinguisher can put out a fire in 2-4 seconds depending on the size. So, are we CLEAR on that? hahah

The Lifeline stuff is some off the best in the market, that's why you'll find it in endless cars at any race weekend at any circuit.

And 2-4 seconds? So a marshal can jump over a fence and extinguish a fie in an enclosed cockpit with an unconscious driver inside in 2-4 seconds?

The fact you mention the interior proves your naievity. It saves the driver's life, who cares about the interior.

dude youre even contradicting yourself. Look, you said you dont care about the interior, fair enough but lets not forget WHO is in it, if youre there for all that time oxygen runs out and you choke faster than you can hopefully open the door.

BTW im betting have one in your car right? lol
