Khan wasn't so much pushing Peterson to create punching room as he was shoving him backwards to keep him off of him due to the pressure that Peterson was putting on him. There was no tactical purpose for it at all in this fight.

@oscardelarosapineda You can push in boxing, but not the way that Khan was doing. When guys push in boxing, they're looking to set up their offense so that they can land some punches. Khan wasn't so much pushing Peterson to create punching room as he was shoving him backwards to keep him off of him due to the pressure that Peterson was putting on him. There was no tactical purpose for it at all in this fight.

@dean24uk True, it did have its moments though. Peterson stepped out of his comfort zone and started to trade with Khan rather than wait for Khan to finish up then punch, but it was by all accounts a "dirty" fight on both sides.

Fight could have gone either way, but win or lose, Khan didn't impress. He was suppose to look impressive so he could go up to 147 and fight the big names. He was calling out Mayweather. He wouldn't beat any champ at 147, let alone Mayweather.

@zzCHAZz1 The 1st one was a slip, because the ref got tangled in Peterson legs. The 2nd one Khan pushed him down with his elbow, watch it again in slo mo, he tripped over Khans leg and the Khan pushed him down. The 2nd one was not a knock out either. If Khan is appealing, then if I were Peterson I would appeal against the knock outs.

The KO by Khan should have been disallowed. Look closely at Khan right leg and Peterson left leg. Khan blocked Peterson's left leg as Peterson was moving to the left trying to avoid khan's punch. This is clearly not a knocked down.
