Love love love the 3 topic vids. Unique is good . So I'll miss them . That said I trust your choice to try something different and I look forward to them. One thing to consider - after you give this new direction a fair trial, maybe give us a mix of both formats. Perhaps a mix would be good. Most of all I echo the comments about being true to yourself. After all, it is Bill we are following . Your voice , heart, spirit, zany humor and perspective are priceless and extraordinarily important to
Well the good morning 2 min update videos i think are fine sometimes you hit a topic of interest and sometimes you don't. I think you said you were in Radio broadcast for 30 yrs.So i think you find making you-tube video's replaces a little bit of the void.Whatever its is your looking for in the balance i hope you find it. Take Care
I really like your 3-in-1 style. It's different, but yeah, I can see how it'd be hard for newbies to follow. As long as you do what makes you happy, we all will keep watching.
...But, of course, experimenting is brilliant, and I extremely enjoy YouTubers I love doing that. Trying something new and breathing new air can be great, so dont be afraid of that - but be sure you're changing and trying new things for yourself, not just for us. :) Good video, I enjoyed the way it made me think.
I don't like the idea of you changing to simply including more people, it sounded like you were "dumbing" down such an original format. I think I'd prefer to have 20 people enjoy my videos to 100 people who only watch because it's easy. Your three topic format is quick and I have to follow and keep up and I like that. It's a journey I get involved with like a puzzle, and at the end I feel like I've been somewhere...
We have always enjoyed the content of your vids. One topic, three topics, radio vids, whatever the case may be. The frequency of your vids isn't a concern, because the content is always so entertaining. So keep making vids, and we'll keep watching. Thanks for all that you do.
I personally thought the multiple threads was kind of innovative - I don't think I've seen any other 'Tuber do that quite as well. As for views, I'd wonder if there was any external reason they're down.
Bill, you won't lose me as a subscriber to your channels until one of us dies or YT does. I like the person BEHIND the videos and not just the person IN the videos. Just be who you are. You might not get millions of subs, but the ones you do get will be there on purpose with very few "drive-bys". Relax and have fun with it.
As for the change to single-topic vids on the other channel - the only thing constant in life is change. Try it and see how it goes, but to thine own self be true.
I "got" your style with the 3 in 1 videos right away and it's one of the reasons I stayed to watch. I love the Blue Channel conversations but when a 3-n1 gets posted I say "All right! Here we go!". But I trust that whatever you do it will be quality and entertaining and I will look forward to seeing you.
Note to @mickeleh: I keep wanting to post vlogs myself, but don't have a whole lot of time in the day so I'm not one to talk...but I wish you'd start posting again.
Confession: it took me months to get into the rhythm of the three-in-ones. Just one request... don't let your frequency dip to my level, which currently is at zero.
I have to admit I'm going to miss the 3 in 1 videos. I felt I was getting my money worth (wait. it was free). But I can imagine it took a lot of time editing. I think the changes will be good though, but please give yourself a little bit of an out that if a great 3 in 1 video does come to mind somewhere down the line to go ahead and do it. ((smile))
You do whatever you want to do. It is your channel, and who are we to tell you what to do? I like the three topic videos, but it's also good to experiment. Pretty much everything I do is experimentation on YouTube.
From what I've seen there are two successful formats in terms of quantity of posts: One is to post so much every day that people are really forced to subscribe for fear of missing some of your content, and the other is to post so infrequently that people become more and more eager to see your new content.
Having said that, both of these approaches are reliant on 'quality' content. Your content is already high quality, but there are different standards on YouTube and in the real world.
@l0gically Yeah that is why I stressed the importance of quality. I am subscribed (mainly to gaming channels), and as it is such a competitive area, they are forced to create huge volumes of content. I do not stay subscribed to people who produce low quality material otherwise whats the point. Also - by high quality I do not mean how much money they have pushed into it, but rather the quality of arguments, points and also their sincerity.
Thanks for always making me think with these videos.
Nooooo! I think I'm going to cry! I love your 3-story sit-com style video format. If YouTube has ADD then that's the style of video it needs! People can't concentrate on one thing for too long, so breaking up the stories with other stories is perfect.
Of course, no matter what you do I will keep watching your videos and continue to be a huge fan, but I will miss your 3 topic videos. At least do one last farewell video to say goodbye to the style.
No more 3-topics format? End of an era (hey! beats "I HATE CHANGE!!" of the masses) While it was unique, I am happy 2 report I only got "lost" maybe 3 times TOTAL - which is great considering, at my age, I can get lost in Wal Mart, ESPECIALLY when they CHANGE everything every few months. I digress.
.
Yes! Quality over quantity.
I have to admit tho, when u said fewer uploads, I was afraid you became partnered, which is followed by disillusionment, then quitting making videos (*cough*Chris*cough)
I'm not concerned about the regularity of your main channel videos; by all means, only upload when you feel you've got a good idea rather than sticking to a timetable.
But the three topic thing was basically the reason I started watching you in the first place - I thought it was cool and interesting. Turns out, I enjoy what you say anyway, hence I regularly watch this channel as well, but I think it'd be a shame to give up that format. Especially since it's pretty much unique.
Dont worry about going a couple of weeks before posting on BillTVMacon - if people are hunting for content, they will find the Blue channel.

I'm the 100th viewer of this video, do I win anything? A video response is to follow.

@duckscli "One is to post so much every day that people are really forced to subscribe for fear of missing some of your content"
The danger there is that they just start ignoring it - as I have with a few that do that.
