  • i'm form europe and i have a hard time finding the CR123 battery so i only use the Fenix AA lights. Love the TK series!!

  • @Luccian22

I didn't realize that they weren't available everywhere

  • @GearBuyersGuide they do are in every fotography and electroniocs shop, at least in Spain. If you live in a rural area, in the woods, (Rumania, Poland, etc) maybe you have to do to the nearest city

  • Can you use rechargeable batteries in this light??? thanks for the answers, great review

  • I suppose you could, but I don't use them so I'm not sure

  • Yes you can use RCR123a's, those are rechargeable. You can also use AA's but you will be limited to the med. setting.

  • how could AA fit in there?

  • Great review! Do you know where I can get a canvas carry case for this? I just bought it.

  • What do you think tk10,11,or ta 30. Don't they all have the same lumen?

  • This is the only TK model we have been able to review

  • DOES IT COME WITH A SHEATH??

  • no it didn't

  • cool mode switch.. I bought tk20. didnt like how you change modes on other new 2AA fenix lights.. also got L2T..

  • don't like the button codes?

  • to many modes.. I like to keep it simpel anf fast.. 6 modes I way to many for me.. sos and strobe mode I don`like at all.. 2-3 modes will do it for me..

  • @vectraB97

    I suggest the Fenix TA21

Lots of modes which you wont like, but mechanical selection not memory, (make a big difference)

  • I like using normal batteries. I unly have AAA and AA rechargebles.. fenix tk20 is my best flashlight.. no memory mode. just twist, 150lumen hi and 47lumen low.. I never use 10-25lumen modes any way.. 47lumen is perfect for my normal use.. I only use 150lumen when I want to throw a beam more than 70-100m.

  • Has anyone figured out how to remove the flashlight head to replace the o-ring because the instructions doesn't mention how to. I am kind of scared to apply more force to the head just to figure it out.

  • I can't figure out how to get mine off 'easily' either

  • So basically the TA20 is just the two CR123 version of this light? Could you do a review on the TA21 though?

  • Hey I'm looking for a light for my AR-15 I think the TA 20 is what I want I just need to know the dimensions. Is the body of it 1" and is it straight or tapered? It looks like it gets smaller toward the back of the light. thanks for anay help. Oh and if anyone knows of any 1" lights that are bright and small and affordable let me know thank you very much.

  • What about a Surefire G2 LED ??

  • yeah I thought about the G2 the only thing i don't like is the price and I can't make it dimmer and brighter as needed.

  • It just arrived!

This is one heck of a light - superior in many ways to my others (EagleTac, Wolf Eyes, Night Ops).

The construction and finish are high quality - the operation and performance are outstanding, and I can't wait to chop down a tree or something with the crenallated bezel. :-)

This is now my EDC light and I'll be buying Fenix exclusively from now on.

    Great review by the way!

  • thanks

  • Waiting for mine to arrive from 4sevens! This looks like a winner; I have two Eagletac's that are great at work - but this might be my new EDC light, especially on the late night walks.

For anyone wondering about the strobe fx on these lights: I have had the experience of using the light when faced with a fairly aggressive/somewhat psychotic individual. If you want something to knock them down - this won't do it. But, if you want something to help you get closer or buy time to run - this will

  • I have this TA30 and it rocks. Ditched my Pelican M6 afterwards. Used it primarily for my law enforcement work. A bit disappointed there ain't a holster for this, but i've been using Nite Ize Universal flashlight Holster and it works great. Highly recommended.

  • I can fit this TA30 into my Surefire belt holster where the G2 normally lives.. but this one is SOO long it just isn't practical to use it in there

Perhaps a holster for an collapsable batton ?

I'll keep looking for one, it's weird, many other Fenix lights come with a belt sheath, but not this one

  • hey can you do me a huge favor? Can you tell me how disorientating the strobe is? And at what range?

  • Sure, it's a fast strobe, but not so fast that it's almost a solid light.

Since it is so bright, it's one of the most effective ones i've seen

However the mode selectr switch is giving me a little trouble

  • nice review!

  • thx
