Thank you everyday math ruins us all. It makes us all learn at the same pace. And teach us some things we need for Math MCAS after it. Waste of budgit! THANK YOU!!

Thank You Steve King! As a parent of a 5th grader, I am also dissatisfied with the Everyday Math Program. There are many, many parents in our school district who feel that EDM falls short. We have 5th graders who cannot even use basic multiplication facts without counting on fingers and hands. EDM needs to be re-evaluated & possibly removed from the math curriculum.

3 cheers for you for speaking for the kids who didn't get it. As a volunteer in a school and a mother who's child didn't "get it" I have seen it both ways. The kids who are great at language get it-the ones who aren't don't. Kids are honest and I've heard from many of them that they either "don't get it" or "hate this" When they don't "get it" the teacher gets blamed not the program. Baloney! I would rather have my kid do a homework fact sheet than count the number of pockets in their pants!
