Youtube would pay if the program that they used on YOUR computer didnt keep your personal info safe even with Microsoft Windows UPdates, they are vulnerable to hackers. ~Raven
Part 10~ It costly to keep those programs up to speed with future unknown and not yet created viruses from some bored hacker guy who wants to screw with someones life. I thought of these potential problems within minutes and I am no genuis, let alone the Youtube techs that have invested knowledge that I dont know or the legal advice that YOutube has whose thought ahead on these matters too. ~Raven

First of all, I was playing the role of Brad when I said that in the video. Meaning he wasn't being paid to be on the council.
Second, the line in the video description meant that getting on the Most Discussed list, which leads to more views (which we do get paid for) won't happen because I'm not monetizing this video.
It's not about hating youtube, I love youtube, or I wouldn't care enough to make vids like this that probably confuse more of my subs than it does entertain or speak to them. It's about addressing issues through humor. I could have easily addressed my concerns in a five minute vlog staring at my camera, but that would have received a quarter of the views and a tenth of the comments. This approach gets it scene and discussed by a larger audience, and hopefully, lands on YouTube's radar.
I just get a little ticked when I see negative energy towards YouTube, and so much effort put into it. To me, it isn't worth it at all. Worry about something else.

Part 3~ Youtube can do nothing but cause the stalker to keep posting more accounts and everytime you write them about the jerk, your in a list with other folks who wrote before you. Start getting mad at those who are fucking with your world and learn about the options here. Its really hard when people I care about have rants where the answers to their problems is called miracles and not something Youtube can do. Chill and learn the facts. ~Raven

achampaq, well, do a video then about this technology that will stop the stalkers. I havent heard of it and I am not an expert but I do know far more than the basics. I talked to youtuber JimmyCrow too and he said IP programs were impossible to stop stalkers so I would love to learn about the technology that would help. Seriously! That would be cool! ~Raven

just to let all yall who aren't partners out there know - partners aren't able to even access adsense payment records until 60-90 days after they are approved to be in the partnership program. alan's playing with words. also - nobody gets paid for comments. "your comment counts will line my pockets" - god.

First of all, I was playing the role of Brad when I said that in the video. Meaning he wasn't being paid to be on the council.
Second, the line in the video description meant that getting on the Most Discussed list, which leads to more views (which we do get paid for) won't happen because I'm not monetizing this video.

I like your vids, Alan, but I just don't understand the obsession with hating YouTube when YouTube has actually treated you well.
I think YouTube IS a democracy, even though Renetto rants about it. (You'll see this in a future vid of mine)
They let a 14 YEAR OLD (me) take charge of their homepage!!!
And you (or at least Renetto) think(s) they don't let us have a say!!!

It's not about hating youtube, I love youtube, or I wouldn't care enough to make vids like this that probably confuse more of my subs than it does entertain or speak to them. It's about addressing issues through humor. I could have easily addressed my concerns in a five minute vlog staring at my camera, but that would have received a quarter of the views and a tenth of the comments. This approach gets it scene and discussed by a larger audience, and hopefully, lands on YouTube's radar.

I just get a little ticked when I see negative energy towards YouTube, and so much effort put into it. To me, it isn't worth it at all. Worry about something else.

Yup...that is a problem. You have 7 vids, you're a kid, you may have a lot of talent and potential but you're a kid. A kid should not be in charge of the home page. Sorry.
Show some respect for people who have paid more dues than you have. Don't disrespect a man you know nothing about who has done a lot for YouTube.
