secluding is good when you know those around you are not good, if they are not making salah or doing the basics then you know they not good, but if we are talking about extras then that would be incorect to seclude from them, ofcorse we must judge who is good company,it is necesity
no sister it wouldnt be showing off because im sure u and ur mother know that u are refering to the physical part of it. either way u cant really show off to ur parents if u noe wat i mean.
so. what if i want to fast a couple days in one week (the fasting that i had to do in ramadan that i couldn't do) and my mom says i'll get weak, but i tell her fasting is easy for me, is that showing off?

I agree w/ the video, did you know that Ar-Riya *show off* is a hidden shirk. Plus, this is why many muslim brothers/sisters who has sincere deen but they fall down because of showing off, even if their intention is right, for example I just want people to learn from my footsteps. But, slowly by slowly shaytan will capture you. Therefore, worship your LORD secretly, do help people when you see them, and guide them. Plus, avoid complimenting others, it falls under show off.
Allahu Akbar, May Allah ta'ala protect us from falling into these erroneous ways and make our deeds and intentions purely for his sake. Allahumma Ameen.
