  • I wonder also if they would have left on their own if you had left the table upside down a couple days.

  • @ViolentKisses87

it's a good question because they do, naturally, build the home / nest under a protective / covered surface.

However, there were wasps hovering there for a long time, around the spot where the nest was. so once it's built, maybe they do stay?

  • I wonder if smoke would work on wasps to calm them like it does with honeybees.

If you have any "medicinal smoke" that may even work better.

  • @ViolentKisses87

that's brilliant and i really wonder about that too.

I may experiment with the "medicinal smoke" at some point.

  • @MosheDan9 Lol yay I got a comment back from a video poster :D

Oh and hey you gained my respect for not going the easy route and spraying poison on them :3

  • Didn't want to hurt the wasps? Lol whatever lefty :)

  • Or shoot it?

  • I tried this today... didn't work... the mud on my living room wasp nest is dark brown... suspect a different species... but since I was bundled up like you I wacked it and part of it came off the wall... several wacks later there's mostly a stain. But what seemed odd to me is apparently there was only one wasp doing the building... maybe two at the most... anyway, they are both now out doors, hopefully to find a better place for themselves... they just started building last night... thanks

  • @annewayman Good for you! Glad you were all bundled up and got the courage from my video! That definitely doesn't sound like paper wasps. Probably yellow jackets. Be well!

  • I had a tiny wasp nest, one wasp, just getting started, only maybe 15 combs on my back deck under the railing. I didn't really want to spray it dead, so I came to the 'net to look for ideas on how to move it. After watching your video, I was sure I could tackle my one little yellow jacket... so I bundled up, got a jar and a spatula and did the same thing you did. Piece of cake. Thanks for the demonstration! Feels better than killing them! :)

  • @miscelena1

Miscelena1, you have totally made my day. I am so pleased you found some insight from my wasp video. Thank you!!

  • That was a cool video. You got about 100 feet closer than I would have gotten to those nests. The was I get rid of wasps is with a ton of wasp spray

  • I would think that the wasps would run since you look like a suicide bomber. Also I love animals and plants, but I can't stand wasps and hornets. They are disgusting to look at and kill other harmless bugs like caterpillars and butterflies. Also they like to get pissed off and sting you if you go near them

  • @whoknows6806

hey my friend, i know what you mean about the wasps. when i was 16 years old, i was walking up a stream and my cousin walking ahead of me tripped up a nest of wasps in the ground and then i stepped right over the hole and got 13 stings. i hated them but have since come to really appreciate them and honour them. Also, in this video these particular wasps are not aggressive. they are paper wasps and usually don't sting unless really aggressed.

  • What a delightful experience it was for me watching you pull off what I felt sure you would. I have another friend whom I once watched charm hornets.

  • You should have taken them to Lindsey Lohan's house.... I hear she's not there...LOL...

    Nice job...
