  • Nice job on a difficult tune!! Great video!!

  • nice I'm thinking of gettting one of these also in low D but mine is 29 cm what size is that you are playing?

  • @fabzcardon This is a low D so double that size.

  • @hostroute ah so its low D and about 60 cm?

  • @fabzcardon Yes

  • hey you play with the tips of your fingers too!! :))

  • Really nice. It's a difficult tune to play and I like your rendition very much:)

  • Hi Gordon. I had been listened your recording, you have a very good tecnic with your tonge, but... you dont use your finger for do rolls. Why? Don´t you like it. I think that your sound improve.

    Sorry for my bad inglish

  • @Roberdezam I am Scottish and we tend to tongue notes more than the Irish.

  • @hostroute then why do you play irish music so often? we'd like to hear scottish tunes played in scottish style...

moreover: many scottish players as the ones in Silly Wizard or Tannahill Weavers don't use such an invasive tonguing... have they adopted the irish style of playing?

  • @BlackFolkAndPiano I rarely play Irish music in real life. And you are right, the Scottish style has almost completely disappeared. Scottish music is being subsumed by a sort of homogenised "Celtic" music which is mainly irish influenced.

  • Lovely sound Gordon. 5*****

  • Very nice Gordon. How does this whistle compare with the one you made?

    George

  • Its louder and easier to hold because the holes are closer together, but its harder to blow.
