im not saying i dont agree, cause yeah the joker was suppose to have gag toys and what not, but christopher nolan took this movie and made it much darker and sinister along with his characters, kinda gave it that realistic feel, yok know? but there are so many versions of batman in the comics.

Ledger's Joker, if you take away the scars and the makeup (which never disappears from his face, it just makes him that much crazier. Why would a man wear makeup like that? He is batshit crazy) is the newer take on the Joker that has been around since "The Killing Joke" it is actually very very traditional. Read The Killing Joke, it is considered the seminal Joker story and it doesn't sound like you know much about it.

If you new anything about the Joker you would realise that he is a serious character. Go read The Killing Joke or his first appearence in and you will see that Heath played the character much closer to the original.

It's not fake. After Heath passed away, Christopher Nolan (the director of a film) wrote an article honoring him, and it mentioned that Heath actually did show up to the set on a skateboard at least once.
Amusingly enough, several others of the crew started showing up with their own boards afterwards.
Saw the film yester day and i am telling you guys you HAVE to watch this movie in the cinemas just to see how well heath ledger has portrayed joker. Two tumbs up. The movie is fabulous.

and the "realistic feel" isnt the joker, thats the point. he is a cartoon in real life type thing y'know. he is the exception. the riddler is a man with question, mr. freeze will do anything to make his wife better, poison ivy wants the world to fall for here, catwoman is a cat-burgler, and scare crow wants fear to run rampant. the joker doesnt fit in with any of them, hes just... different.

alright.. the joker is my favorite villian ever, and i know nearly all the DC-Marvel heros and villians, and Heath Ledger may have playd a good part but you can only resect the way he played the joker if you dont know who the joker is. nothing about how the joker is played is anything like the original joker.... the painted on makeup, the "sliced" grin, him wanting to cause chaos, or the lack of "joker gags" was anthing like the joker. i hated how they made him.

dude u r wrong, i read the comic and except by the aparience he's exactly like the original, we didn't see heath ledger playing the joker in the movie.. WE SEE THE JOKER IN THE MOVIE

The joker, unlike the rest of the villians, he has no real purpose for his actions, which makes him more sinister and dangerous than the rest of them.
By knowing nothing about him, he is more of a potential threat as there are no predictable limits, and no weakness.
Heath ledger's joker is a more dark sinister version, whereas jack nicholson's had a more lighter feel to it.

Ledger's Joker, if you take away the scars and the makeup (which never disappears from his face, it just makes him that much crazier. Why would a man wear makeup like that? He is batshit crazy) is the newer take on the Joker that has been around since "The Killing Joke" it is actually very very traditional. Read The Killing Joke, it is considered the seminal Joker story and it doesn't sound like you know much about it.

Jake N. played the joker much closer to the original. you have to remember that the joker is not "serious" character, he is made to be a cartoon with his jokes, acting, and gag toys, you cant make him into a "real" person like the tried to do in this movie. and im not saying heath ledger is a bad actor, dc just shouldnt have let this happen. im sorry if i upset anybody but thats my take on it, thats my freedom of speech, and if you dont like it, than post a text back. thank you.

If you new anything about the Joker you would realise that he is a serious character. Go read The Killing Joke or his first appearence in and you will see that Heath played the character much closer to the original.
The Joker isnt funny, he never has been. He thinks he is but no-one laughs at his jokes.
Jack was great but he till had camp elements which were taken from the crap 60's show.

Exactly. Ledger portrayed the Joker very acuratly, much better than most can. The only person I've ever seen played the Joker quite as well was an ameteur actor!

that's not heath. that's the stunt person i think. heath moves his body differently and he usually crosses his arms. but anyway saw the movie. it was amazingg. heath's performance was perfectly sick and demented, what the joker should be.r.i.p.

Heath is actually an excellent skateboarder. He was in Lords of Dogtown. I recommend seeing it and it IS him.

It's not fake. After Heath passed away, Christopher Nolan (the director of a film) wrote an article honoring him, and it mentioned that Heath actually did show up to the set on a skateboard at least once.
Amusingly enough, several others of the crew started showing up with their own boards afterwards.

Saw the film yester day and i am telling you guys you HAVE to watch this movie in the cinemas just to see how well heath ledger has portrayed joker. Two tumbs up. The movie is fabulous.
