I make just enough to maintain my independence so independent insurance is not possible. it's easy for people who have insurance to spout independence, however it is a luxury not all qualify for.
Big money runs the country, so in the end I don't expect much from this, however I also expect much propaganda and badgering of any form of socialized health care. To be continued.

Obama said it but he also added that if you leave your employer-sponsored health care and get on the gov's plan you won't be able to get back on the employer-sponsored health plan. And if you leave your employer you will be able to take your plan with you. Which also means if you can't cover the difference after loosing your job, you get on the gov's plan and your next employer has a employer-sponsored health plan, you will not be able to sign on to it.
