  • Benedict is not that hardline. people forget that John Paul II had pretty strict policies. difference is one was inspiring, the other not so much.

  • Speaking of lickable faces, hellooooooo Stewart Lee <3

  • The pope was actually in the hitler youth as a child - which makes the laughs @3:00 all the more remarkable.

  • Go on you shithouse,

    Do one on Mohammed

  • im a hardcore catholic and a huge Pope fan..... this was very funny!!!!

  • Jimmy Saville died today

  • genius, good to see jerry sadowitz aswell.

  • i have those shoes in black he got them from H&M

  • That's Jerry Sadowitz doing a Jimmy Saville!!!

    !!!

    !!!

    I'm astounded!

  • My shoes changed colour once. Now I'm not saying the pope was definitely involved but...

  • Jerry Sadowitz!!!

  • I hope Mr Lee gets his second series. I know he wants to do another set of this show.

  • I'm a big potato with onions.

  • "Whose face is that?"

    "Pope Benedict XVI"

    "What does that mean?"

    "Poison"

  • The devil wears prada...

  • What's strange about this clip is that the shoes here are almost brown. When this was aired on Channel 4 a couple of years ago the shoes looked bright red. This is a wee bit sinister.

  • @wilfthehairy I'm sure that has to do with the compression of the file, don't worry it's not a conspiracy. :]

  • @myager2

Leather shoes made with lossless coWpression maybe ( Groan! )

  • @myager2 No, I think wilfthehairy has a point, when a pair of shoes at first look bright red and then later 'almost' brown we should all be concerned. Of course the easy answer could be the compression of a file to change the colour of 'said shoes' but the more sinister answer could be that the shoes were changed at a later date without Stewart Lee ever knowing about it.

  • @wilfthehairy The show was never on Channel 4, it was on the BBC. The shoes maybe just look a little darker as the whole clip looks somewhat so.

  • @wilfthehairy it's was on bbc 2,the rights are there's not channel 4

  • @98pages1 The rights are there is not channel 4... what does that mean?

  • @wilfthehairy they look bright red on my monitor!

Have you got your monitor cable in all the way? If it's not in quite right one of the R/G/B signals can be missing and the colour will be off....

  • Looks bright red on my screen to be honest haha.

  • @wilfthehairy Why, one could say that something sinister is 'afoot'.

Yes, that was a terrible pun.

  • @wilfthehairy

I find it more sinister that C4 are getting credit for this.

    Wasn't this a BBC production?

In this very series SL himself said that watching C4 was like having raw sewage pumped into your home.

  • @wilfthehairy this is a BBC program

  • Fantastic and a refreshing change from wall-to-wall Pope-TV!

  • Class!

  • omg Jerry Sadowitz!

    Nobody better to play Jimmy.
