If you have never touched a drum kit and want to learn some beats that will help you learn timing, coordination, and different placements of snare and kick this is pretty cool. It's fun and good practice and warm up. Keep watching these if you want to have fun and learn basics. It's not all the same and will help advance your perfection in time. I've only been playing for a week and I'm having a good time. Good collection of videos.

serious advice right here. You can Learn atleast up through video 34 of this by using the rockband 2 beat trainer. yeah i know its a video game but if you have the high hat on your rockband drums just learn it on there and it is easily transferable to a real drum set.

That's completely false. Rythym is 100% math. Also, drums aren't about expression at all really when compared to instruments with pitch/tone/vibrato/etc. involved.
