Well, technically industrial sounds had emerged before TG had fully come into being but they really finalized the sound. PTV has used various genres in their sound, but yes, much of it is noisey psychedelica

yeah its really different from the 10 minute instrumental without the guitar licks it sounds like a totally different song. This version is easier to listen to. Doubt any audio of this version is available...I found the instrumental one tho! I think this is kindof an improv of it tho...isnt it? I dunno if Gen came up with the words on the spot like that or if it was rehearsed or anything, the guitar parts sound like they fit. studio version sounds like everything from this one is missing.......

It IS me. We never recorded this in the studio with the guitar because it was recorded before I went on tour with PTV. It was just one of those re-arrangements of PTV songs that worked well live. I suppose if we kept working we would have re-recorded it as the way we did it live but Gen lost the plot. ta-ta !

A studio version exist on the Wax Trax /TVT release called Jack the Tab / Tekno Acid Beat. Your Body originally appeared on the Psychic TV 10" LP Picture Disc (very rare) but luckily it was issued on the US TVT/Wax Trax release mentioned above. The studio version does not have Genesis singing/yelling and is missing the great Fred Gianelli guitar riffs! Also, the studio version is much slower and is close to 10 minutes long.
Never heard much Hank Marvin when I developed my style. We had the Ventures in the US. I guess anyone that plays a strat with a whammy and slapecho would sound like Hank. I'd rather have had a Gretsch though for a song like this but could never afford a nice one.
