im 27 now in 2011 and i have to say from what ive heard fron my parents and what it seems like i wish i was in my late 20s but in the early 80s, it sounds fucking awesome man!!!:-)
I just heard West End Girls on Pandora and the memory of this very show came to my mind, so I had to find it. Thank you rebet76. I agree with the others, I loved PSBs from the beginning but seeing this performance (I was 13) made me fall head over heels in love with Neil Tennant. His beautiful eyes, his hair, his slight lisp - he was stunning and I wished with all my heart that I was a boy!!
I love PSB, but I hate Top of the Pops performances... I always expect an awesome live performance, then I remember TOTP makes them play pre-recorded mixes and mime it.

How can one single creation exude so much beauty? Neil simply radiates with sexappeal in this performance. He was hot back then and he is still gorgeous today.
the had great music in the 1980s but goofy pre hip hop clothing. forgot about this song. it was out 1988 but if i had to guess i'd say it had a 1986 sound.
i didn't watch too much tv for music in the 1980s because you could hear good music on the radio.
@londonathens I saw them in Athens and Manchester (I live on Samos) Pandemonium was easily the best performance I have seen - the DVD brings back memories of 2 great nights :-)
This is the classic Fairlight CMI Series III. The Sample-based Digital Musicinstrument was State-of-the Art in the 80s and costs around $100.000 aqnd there were only a few in the UK.
I can remember that Genesis and the Art of Noise had also Fairlights in their Studio.
-_- : Neil Tennant so young bald, he is really aging quickly.
Deserves to be a gay man!

Still get those teenage butterflies when I hear this and see him. Loved him then and still love him now. (and Chris... wouldn't be PSB without him) x
Particularly petulantly pouting Adonis in this vid...and didn't he just know it!
Love you, Neil! xxx

The two Synths Chris's using is a Emax and a Fairlight CMI. Depeche Mode used Emax's on their 1988 Pasadena Rose Bowl Concert.
