This reminds me of a local story that happened where I live- A man's house was on fire, and he was trapped. His dog tried to get him out, but was unable. So he runs and finds some cops and starts barking, then running towards the house, and looking behind as if he wants the cops to follow. For some reason, the cops decide to follow him, and the dog leads him to the owner's house, where the cops can pull the man out with his life.

I just feel sorry for people who see something this beautiful and shout "blasphemy!" before they take a look at it. God's love is mirrored throughout his creation, not just in people who point fingers and accuse others of not worshiping him the way *they* want. I will listen to my dog who mutely shows God's love and I will listen to God when he shows me himself in a dog. And I will read the Bible and see that the animals were made first, before man, and they knew God too and he saw it was good.

This song says that the affection in dogs comes directly from God since He is the creator, and it forms a picture of the devotion and enthusiasm He has for us.
