He is a Philospher and seems pretty well rounded. Don't confuse philosophy's teachings with science's teachings. Philosophy teaches you how to think: Think fast, precisely and often accurately through complex topics. This just happens to be a topic of film, which is very large and frankly a ripe area to examine. I just started and it will be interesting what areas he goes to: Ethic or, asthetics or both.

wish I could take this course! The teacher seems like the kind of guy who you could really learn some valuable things from

but he also seems like the sort of person with whom philosophy lessons will be at their most boring potential!!
