  • So, we buy gas, we give those companies billions of dollars, which they then use to destroy the environment, bribe our politicians, wage a campaign war against our environment. God bless capitalism!

  • Permaculture is the only network of ecologists and sustainable agriculture for the future. You must learn the design for the future.

  • You know nuclear war looks better everyday.

  • So is Stimulator a primitivist? It seems like that about 90% of the earths population would need to die for their kind of sustainability.

  • @rring88 can't know unless you've tried.

  • @akpret The human population was in the millions before the Agricultural Revolution. Maybe even more than 90% would need to die.

  • @rring88 i dont think we really need jumbo jets.

  • @akpret Yes, but stuff like medicine, electricity, mass produced food and other things we still need.

  • @akpret "i dont think we really need jumbo jets"

I don't think you need a computer, get rid of it.

  • @chris3443 steps.

  • @rring88 unfortunately, that's true. but their kind of sustainability is the only kind. our actions will catch up to us eventually.

  • its all "bulshit" lies run your life good or bad lol

  • That is a very honest and correct observation.

Can you go the next level of honesty?

Can you admit that there is a higher percentage of psychopaths among the Euro-Gentiles than among other peoples and, as they are the ones in control and calling the shots (and defining the "norms), that they are making everyone living under their regimes crazy - either crazy in accepting their sickness or crazy with outrage and disgust?

  • If you're able to accept this premise, please see the most recent video on my channel: Re: Richard Dawkins - "What if you're wrong?"

  • The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything. Albert Einstein.

The slogans of Newspeak are, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength. George Orwell.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. Krishnamurti.

    Wiki. Sheeple.

  • Zeitgeist debunked look that up lol.

  • popwar777@ Thank you for your reply,

I have posted this information for the familys and loved ones affected by September 11th false flag attack on world trade center 1,2 and 7. Also this is for all the hundreds of thousands of familys and love ones affected since to this day.

Please be kind enough to do your own research and study history. And remember authority is not truth, truth is authority.

Google: IndieGoGo Can Bush be Prosecuted?

    Good Day..

  • Let us ask ourselves who benefits from all of this madness, huh? Everybody seems to be concerned about saving the planet from carbon this and that, but nobody is asking the real questions, like why are industrialist families like the Rockefellers, BANKING off of this, and why do politicians lobby so much in favor of this?

  • As Carl Sagan asked,

    "Who speaks for Earth?"

  • KOYAANISQATSI

  • Excellent vid, stimulator ! Regardless of the 'leaked e-mail" controversy. Our lifestyles in the West are NOT sustainable via our dependence on oil. You would love Werner Herzog's film LESSONS OF DARKNESS, btw. - Our water is being polluted across the planet (the next resource wars!) - which is why the usual players want to 'privatize' it + and they are making huge headways in this regard already. :(

  • i guess we could shut down the other sources of oil and drill alaska....who really knows how much oil is under it? but i think honestly bicycles are the way to go.

  • Have you ever seen a bicycle frame made from bamboo? Google: How to Build a Bamboo Bicycle.

  • y don't we have cars that run on electric motors with a small ethanol engine to recharge the batteries 1gallon of ethanol= 200miles without having to stop once to recharge.

you would put in less energy than you would get out

  • that's impossible, civilization is inherently unsustainable, there is no sustainable level of pollution, even if we could bring our polution down by 99%, that 1% would still ensure unsustainability

  • Thats a ridiculous comment. Humans are animals participating in their environment. Its only when our output (waste) is not utilized by the system that we become a problem. If a bear shits in the woods, its good fertilizer, same with humans shitting in the woods. But when humans dump toxic waste in the woods, then you have a problem.

Solution: Learn to shit in the woods. Lol.

Humanure: The only way to eat your shit and live to talk about it. lol

  • I was referring more to your comment on electric cars, I don't believe any type of machinery is sustainable no matter how efficient it is. organic waste is not as big a problem as synthetic

  • Comment removed

  • the impossible has been done before

  • but we dont have a way to produce ethanol without wasting more gas then it saves.

  • wrong

  • haha good argument. but heres the thing, im not. by the time your done transporting and creating ethanol you have saved the enviorment no more than you would just having people drive cars. im not wronge here you are. look your shit up

  • watching too much fox news propaganda look your shit up

  • burying your head in idealisms sand in no way alters reality

  • the mother fuckin tar sands

  • I absolutely love this series, thank you for making it. I five-star, favorite and feature every video thus far. Derrick Jensen is wonderful, I really wish that his work was more acknowledged. Though I can see why it's not; his work is threatening and demands far more than the status-quo.

  • There is a way to have our energy consumption, and usage, and yet consume 1/10th the oil we do now, and this exists today. What are you doing to stop YOUR oil usage? are you driving less? Are you using less?

Are you a producer or a consumer?

  • Drive LESS? Oh, no, since I switched to bicycles I drive them every where. Why today was 5 F with snow turned to snot by cars and still I drive my bicycle every where I needed to go.. Food and heating are what I consume the most... I will never be able to stop using resources, but I can think and do everything I can to lower the my need for resources.

  • Current bicycles have not advanced far beyond the 1888 version, and yet they are still one of the most efficient ways to travel short distances. Lets just restrict half of the lanes on the city roads for use by bikes and slow moving vehicles (vespa)? Reduced grid lock and increased local trade would be a given. Total infrastructure costs: zero!

  • nuke the oilsands!

  • I'm sure that with knowledge and action we can overcome this obstacle as a human race. Peace

  • Nicholas Cage will save us from the evil earth fighting back! woot 2012 movie and making a lot of money without saying anything important!!!

  • Those tar sands mining sites remind me of Isengard from The Lord of the Rings movies. I think it's high time the Ents bust in and fuck those fools up.

  • @theGreenAnarchist I've been up there, you should see when it snows or rains and you can see the oil in the snowflakes when they melt on your jacket. It reminds me of a war zone, the smell and the desolation, but please don't base your opinion of all of Alberta on this spot, there are some very beautiful places here, Ft. MacMurray isn't one of them though.

  • @theGreenAnarchist My favorite scene! As i watched it I was picturing a logging company being on the receiving end of their whoopass tactics

  • If Canadian government was less interested in an air tax, they might have time to look at this mess. The real problem is that this is wasteful and inefficient as Hel because the school system

cranks out idiots trained in 1800 industrial methods who don't understand how to close an

industrial cycle. If you make them pay for the

water it will force them to wake up about the way they are using it.

  • Stop spending, buy local, join radical unions and organizations.

  • And buy guns. Lots of them.

  • sanity is over-rated

  • I agree. There is an important John Zerzan clip somewhere on youtube where he addresses this problem in a way I think you might like.

  • A lot of green anarchists like to argue that it's authoritarian and has marxist tendencies, but I don't buy into it. Kropotkin and the like used to write about that crap.

if 90% of the worlds population have to go in order for primitivism, then the same amount of people could live in a technological paradise.

  • Derrick addresses those things in multiple of his books. Actually read them, or fuck off. :P

  • He pulls tons of dumbass analogies right out of ass. His books are filled in the five hundreds with worthlessness.

  • Anarcho-syndicalism is the way to go, not this primativist stuff. We need to improve the environment without killing everyone in the process. Contrary to what these guys say I believe it's possible. If hemp weren't outlawed in the 30's a lot of things could still be made from it and the environment would be better off for example. Once the constraints of capitalism and government are removed we could move ahead on real environmental solutions. Some of these people are unbalanced in my opinion

  • what the heck er you doon?

people DON'T WANT to think about the truth!! give em HAARP and the NWO and Jesse "the body" Ventura...but don't make em face reality.

  • People can do what they have the will to do- I laugh when the government says we're giving a couple mil to alternative energy look how green we are when they are spending 500 billion a year to support a global military empire - we need wind, solar, low temp geothermal,bio-fuels, energy efficiency and nuclear- and eventually we have to get to fusion- and to those who hate technology I suggest you run around naked and live in a cave because clothes are technology and so is fire.

  • it is not technology that's evil it's our hearts that find it ok for one group to enjoy all the benefits of a technology and another group to suffer all the harm a technology causes- the same heart that finds it acceptable to kill a million brown people to avenge the death of 3000 white people- or to kill hundreds of thousands through sanctions to try to put pressure on on leaders who don't give a crap what happens to their people anyways- so don't hate technology hate evil in your heart.

  • atrocity

  • This video was great for the full 6 minutes before I heard "Climate Change" bull shit. PEAK OIL is what Climate Change is really about. Wake up people. If you need to travel miles to and from a job, that will soon come to an end. Energy is all that exists.

  • the tar sands is like scrapping the bowl when yous sac is gone, and you don't even have any shake left damn I hate running out of weed except, without petroleum we have no fertilizers or pesticides when this sac is gone so is 5.9 BILLION people or the estimated world populationin the 1800's before we became overlydependent on oil

    in other words-

    1880's world population = 1 billion

    todays population = 6.9 billion

no resource for food pesticides/ storage/fertilization = 5.9 billion gone

  • Anthropologic global warming (what the video probably meant by saying "climate change") is a fraud. Leaked e-mails and documents of the CRU (Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia) and NIWA (Nea Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research) show how the climate "researchers" manipulated the data to create a global warming trend. For more info search for "climategate".

  • two words, nuclear energy.

  • LOL!

  • From what I understand, nuclear reactors need insane amounts of water for cooling, making them FAR from sustainable. nucular energy is not free energy.

  • it's about getting more out of less, if hippies and liberals didn't hate the word "nuke" we would be off middle eastern oil.

  • yes it's the Hippies fault that america is addicted to oil. lol how unreasnable is that statement. and again. at what price would your nucular utopia come at. the draining of your lakes and natural water supply. I dont remember the numbers, but you should look it up if that is your solution.

  • yeah because the planet is short on water supply, hell we could send spaceships out to collect ice from asteroids and have a nuclear reactor on the moon..oh wait that's what's going to happen anyway..If we had more nuclear reactors gas wouldn't be as big of a deal electric wise. you can refine sea water into drinking water with condensation and/or filtration.

  • protesting leads to legislation at some point, reactors have been shouted down like arab prison detainees "not in my backyard".

  • nothing is free energy if you factor in entropy, so stop throwing that around.

  • Solar energy is not free energy as well. It takes insane amounts of energy to produce these high-tech panels.

Even if you choose to only use energy produced by solar or wind power, you always need nuclear power plants as a backup. Otherwise lights go dark shortly after the sun or wind disappears. There are no facilities yet to store energy for several million people for a few days.

  • The amount of energy it takes to produce a solar panel is made up for by the energy it saves, when you look at how much embedded energy an object contains you have to also look at how much energy went into it's alternatives, oil and gas are not free energy they are just very cheap energy (or at least they were) and we have to except that future energy will not come as cheaply as oil and gas did

  • The problem with nuke energy (other than all the toxic nasties it produces) is that it relies on uranium and uranium is a finite resource just like oil and gas, I wonder how long the uranium will last once hundreds and hundreds of nuke power stations start to come online all over the world.

  • it doesn't produce toxic waste if it isn't weapons grade or a melt down..you don't know what your taking about, when you see the word NUKE you freak out..satellites use nuclear energy so I guess everyone needs to throw away their cell phones because nuke is a scary word.

  • 40 times as abundant as silver, yeah I think we'll get by.

  • we better hope so or we're gonna be in the same boat all over again a few years down the line :)
