  • my pc will shut down faster. it takes 2 and under seconds :P

  • id take your old pc :P

  • wow. a minute and 52 seconds of you talking about your problems and not un boxing the mac. FUCK YOU.

  • my pc is 6 years old.. and its gettin' rdy after one minute... the "at least 5 minutes" is not a general thing...

and 34 seconds are nothing special..

  • god dammit i wanna get a macbook so bad!!

  • @gamezwizard

Wow 19 seconds! That's amazing! My MacBook takes just under 30 to turn on and three seconds to turn off.

  • 10 mins to shut down, yeah right..

  • I'm a fan off Apple but I have Windows 7

My Computer needs also 19 seconds and it's 2.1 Ghz It realy doesn't matter

  • u cannot really compare a notebook with a pc because for instnace mine pc takes like at least 5-7 mins. and laptop with the same vista like max.1 min. so u better compare notebook to a notebook,i know u tried to show the difference between vista and osx but pc is a pc and notebook is a notebook anyways this notebook is no. freakin 1 on my wish list!!!i love the white, must get it..

  • btw by pc i mean desktop pc

  • uuhhhuhuhuhuhhhuhuhhhuhhhuuuuhhh gives me a boner

  • My boot takes at lease 2 min on a bad day...good day is 1 min 30 sec....shut down either takes about the same time or twice as long...

and thats with maintaining it too...cant imagine what the times would have been if i didnt do my shit weekly...and no doing it everyday doesnt help...so dont respond with saying hat it does...im really sure of it

  • Just a question...when you start up your mac does the cd drive make a little noise, almost like it is warming up.

My macbook is not even a month old and it does it...just wanna know if it is normal.

  • @LittleLisa092 yeah, it makes a little noise like as if you are inserting a disc as it starts up. It's normal; this happens on pretty much every Mac product, including an old Mac mini I have :).

  • Yeah mine makes that noise too, its normal

  • Pc's do the same...its just the drive checking to see if theres a disk to boot from...thats all

  • Nice Macbook! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

  • he sounds like pedro from nepolean dynamite. lol

buh i love the macbook. i've had it for about 4 months buh i missed the new late - 2009 one by onlii weeks..im so unlucky

    umm anyway...vote for pedro

  • Yes, i agree with archurban. Better try to maintain your windows more often ;-)

  • You Booting your mac only 1 time, then you go to Sleep

  • what? 5 minutes? are you kidding me? my sony vaio laptop takes only 35 seconds. I think you never maintain windows OS. that's why you have no idea. why OS gets slower. do you? my shutdown takes only 2 seconds.

  • Good video! I ordered my white MacBook (4 GB RAM) 2 weeks ago. The reason to do so was decreasing my incoming tax 2009 ;-) Since the year 2002 i used to work on verious PCs with XP on it. They always started within 1 - 2 Minutes, depending on their ages. And shutted down in about 1-2 minutes. What specs do your PCs have, that they start and shut down so slowly?

  • great review :)

  • i got the same one but with 4gb of ram and 500gb hard drive
