I think these would make an amazing series of films but only if David Lynch, Darron Aronofsky, David Cronenberg, John Carpenter or David Fincher took the directors chair. It would have to be an R Rated gore fest that would scare the shit out of people whilst sticking to the story.

The movie ideas/ concept usually starts out great, exactly what the fans want and then suddenly the director and producer try and put their own spin on it and mess it up. Here's hoping Darren Shan finds a director who is willing to make a film loyal to the books.

The Demonata books is the greatest and most epic book series ever made. I am a fanatic when it comes to the Demonata books. I have read Demonata 7 Deaths Shadow some days ago. I bought it on a friday and read it out on Saturday. I couldn't stop reading :P And it would be GREAT if they were making some movies out of the series too :):)
for those of you hating on the other movie, quit it, Darren Shan was there during filming and he said it was only loosly based on the books and he loved it, so why cant you? shows how much research you do before one of your fave books is made into a film.

@LaurenTube08 That is such a shame. I really feel for you. Well most libraries I know have services where you can reserve a book from another public library to be delivered to your local library. And they notify you when the book arrives. Ask your library....

The Demonata books is the greatest and most epic book series ever made. I am a fanatic when it comes to the Demonata books. I have read Demonata 7 Deaths Shadow some days ago. I bought it on a friday and read it out on Saturday. I couldn't stop reading :P And it would be GREAT if they were making some movies out of the series too :):)

for those of you hating on the other movie, quit it, Darren Shan was there during filming and he said it was only loosly based on the books and he loved it, so why cant you? shows how much research you do before one of your fave books is made into a film.
Ihope the demonta is made into a film, but more close to the original. i loved all the twists and turns.

that was pretty cool but honestly i wouldn't really want there to be a movie because the movie's are always messed up like say for cirque du freak. the final showdown with darren and steve was in the wrong time and wrong place. it was supposed to happen later and on a bridge instead of an auditorium
