The legs remind of propagandize influence and that's my problem with this video. If she were "more dull" it would be easier to believe them. See I'm the type of person that would not trust a pretty face because they always seem to have a hidden motive behind what they say. It worries me.
THIS VIDEO SERIES IS MORAL AND UNIVERSAL "RELATIVIST" PROPAGANDA!!!!
She is trying to convince you that there is no such thing as objective truth!!!
Watch out. Attractive young female, speaking intelligently, purporting to give you the "hidden knowledge" to be able to decode propaganda...
DON'T FORGET TO USE IT ON HER TOO!!!!!!!!!
Pay close attention to the examples of propaganda posters that she shows in the background as she transforms truth into "belief". Do you see her agenda?
Your video itself is propaganda. You are trying to conflate truth with "beliefs". You are trying to PROPAGATE your "BELIEF" in the complete "RELATIVISM" of facts and ideas.
You are trying to pull a reverse psychology trick on your viewers. You are trying to get them to trust you as the moral and intellectual authority, then persuade them that ALL "propaganda" is base ONLY on opinion and "belief", and that there are no such thing objective facts.
Thanks for the effort to make the video; however I don't agree with the statement that one man's propaganda is another man's truth. The creator of propaganda does not necessarily believe in it; he just frames the message so as to achieve a goal.
Hopefully that makes sense, its hard to explain. If you get involved in helping those who need help or meeting a true friend, I think it goes a long way to change a pessimistic perspective to an optimistic perspective. I just got a hunch that you are more of a pessimistic type but let me know if I'm wrong there.
I definitely am not implying either that atheism is true and that Christianity is kind of a manipulative mind tool, or that God is absent from human affairs. I am still conservative, but I am liberal in many ways where I think conservatism failed. Its a very complicated thing, I still don't have my head wrapped around it. I am however convinced that the Hebrew and Christian God is the creator of the universe. I don't see a possible alternative, except perhaps agnosticism.
As a side note, I really don't like the word religion. Number one, its so slippery. There are multiple meanings to the word. When I think religion I think of a foul, empty, politicized entity that tries and fails to represent what it set out to. Its similar to the word Christendom to me. I dunno. Any ways I understand those criticisms. I think that "religion" can blur the line between virtue and sin, people tend to fall into error, no one can escape it. I think Jesus is good though.
Where it is true that propaganda is the spreading of beliefs, you got off track when you equate beliefs to truth. The definition of truth is that it is true whether anyone believes it or not. As a result the statements that what is true for one person is not true for another is in fact false. Otherwise a good video.
@petersonwd She was talking about different perception about a statement: what one man considers the stating of the truth an other man considers simple propaganda. Besides, no one really knows the ultimate truth anyways, very smart men have completely different opinions.
Propaganda is not a matter of being lies or truth, it is a matter of framing and contextualizing information in such a way as to achieve a desired effect on a target population. Such an intended effect can be very focused or it can be very soft and diffuse - and it can come from anywhere: Churches, newspapers, gov sources, music/entertainment/sports, "education" and academia. It can be overt or camouflaged into almost any medium and into any content - and always with the intent of influence.
All in all there is some disinformation in this video. All vids from psychetruth are vectors of disinformation, which is to say they are about 85% true and at least 15% lies or spin. Such mixtures can be very subtle and very potent.
Her legs are showcased to keep the weak minded from paying attention. Please clue in.
psych truth, I lost all the respect I had to your channel with this video when you used the christian vs athiest example. Christianity or athiesm cannot be subject to definition of truth, even from a single person's perspective
Christianity, bible and all the bullshit religious scriptures arewritten by some person/s in the past to control the society and is always a propoganda and can never be truth. Athiesm on the other hand is a belief system, which blindly says no creator, which has no proof

@pradeeptubeu I am really glad to see that other people are cluing in to the fact that atheism is a belief system, without proofs but with much dogma. It uses indoctrination via numerous techniques of neuro imprinting to tattoo memes onto the unsuspecting brains of humans in order to manipulate us to think/behave/believe in a desired fashion. In that sense religion/atheism, politics, music/entertainment, sports & all "education" are really a form of weltanschauungskrieg: aka cultural warfare.
Its an example. I think you need to get over yourself. Also, I think you are being slightly obtuse and simple minded when it comes to religion and atheism. Yes you can come to abstract notions about how the Jewish and Christian religion are mind control tools, or how atheism is retarded. I can't really speak objectively for atheism as I think it truly is retarded but as for scriptures of the monotheistic religions including Islam, there are much more valid ways to scrutinize them.
The Bible can be approached from so many angles, it is truly a mind blowing book. While I truly do understand why you think that way, I disagree. I think that mode of thinking is overly cynical and paranoid. I would like to hear more of your viewpoint though to get a better understanding of why you think the monotheistic and perhaps all religious scriptures are merely control tools.
@v01741r31 Do you believe in god ? NO ! ( boom - dead ) Do you believe in god? YES ! Do you believe in my god ? NO! ( boom - dead ) . You know i think the person who said religion is control tool might be right because allot of religions have hell - and there go the naughty people who disobey the rules of that religion. Those naughty people will do anything not to be ,, punished ,, by some inexistend hell. And therefore they are controlled.
You discount the possibility that hell is a real place. You assume that hell is just some idea, rather than an actual real place, whether it be separation from God or a place where God's wrath is expressed and shown, depending on interpretation. So if hell is a real place, its not really appropriate to call it a mental idea of control but rather a real place that ought to be avoided.
@v01741r31 well i do discount the possibility of it being a REAL place because i dont believe in it > i mean hey - it hasnt been prooven to exist and i already dont believe in any god so why believe in A hell . Yes im saying A hell because if there is A hell then there will be one for each and every religion meaning that people from the other religions will be burning in the one hell that they dont believe in so therefore we are all going to hell if it exists.
Just saying, approaching the discussion from your angle makes the conclusion more or less set in stone, that is, hell is a fictional scary place to make people behave. I think you also commit a fallacy of thinking that hell really controls people. At least with the monotheisms, there are much more to those beliefs than hell... Its not like they just merely say "BEHAVE OR BURN", that's just not even close man. They are vastly more complicated than that.
@v01741r31 I LOVE your grammar :D And back to hell - well hell is punishment isnt it ? And if people will be afraid to burn and be tortured for eternity - they WILL obey whichever faction that said it, maybe hell and burning in it is more complicated but from my angle it seems downright simple. You either obey all the 10 commandments ( in the case of Christianity ) or you burn in hell. Well i thought that thats what it was. Tell me what it is then, if its more complicated.
Heh. Christianity actually says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There is no such thing as good or bad people or anything like that according to it. Islam and Judaism tend to emphasize more good deeds to climb the ladder to heaven, but Jesus is more about the free gift that he gives us. So its more about grace through faith and being entered into relationship with God through Jesus. Works religions tend to either lead to either pride or despair.
There is the saying of Jesus that says it well. "I have no longer considered you servants but friends" Its not about works and serving ultimately, its just being in communion with the creator.
@v01741r31 Now with me there is one problem - i dont believe and i dont want to lie to myself or anyone else that i do. I personaly think religion is a good set of guidelines to do good things, however certain things about it are just too much.
@v01741r31 that some particular religions think that their god is better then the other religions. Some are hypocritical by claiming that all men are born equal but the only equal people are the whites. Or the discrimination of women in practicaly most religions - or the fact that they hinder the development of science. Or the fact that they DONT hinder things like war, pedophiles and stuff like that . These are basicaly all the things that HAPPEN to be TOOO MUCH.
Certainly. I think Christ-centered Biblical Christianity would only necessitate a sympathy toward the first one though, that Jesus is the only way. I also agree that certainly religions do create the possibility of certain ill conditions that wouldn't exist if it weren't around. For example, "holy" wars. However, religion also fixes many ills that would be around if religion weren't around. Ultimately though I think people are people, and religion isn't going to impede people from being cold.
@v01741r31 How about we reach a final conclusion ? Religion is a great set of ethics and guidelines. But sadly people are not yet mature to take the path of religion without killing, discriminating or breaking some of the commendaments. I think thats pretty real. Dyou agree ?
So you would say the final conclusion is get rid of religion and move forward without it? I agree with what you just said except that I think it kind of assumes that people are perfect. Even the most intelligent person can fall into the lie that is zealotry and ignorant fundamentalism, not to mention ignorant religious liberalism. People make mistakes. I believe God exists, he sent his son to be a light in the dark and to cleanse us of that unrighteousness that is so very present.
@v01741r31 No i just wanted you to agree that people are too imature to accept something as high as religion. Removing it wont happen for a few reasons, one of them being - ITS IMPOSSIBLE to remove it. Secondly well some people are repeating the same mistakes all over again and that should not be forgiven, i mean everyone diserves a chance but not a million chances. As i said before removing religion is impossible. If it WAS removed then the world would be a more progressive place by far ... BUT
@v01741r31 BUT... Also people would loose faith in miracles ( for better or for worse ) they would know that there is no heaven, they would start not caring and litteraly become soulless. That is the bad side of things. Ah and if Jezus is here to clense us from unrightiousness then either he is not doing his job, or hes unsuccseful in doing his job, because unrightiousness, evil and sin are everywhere and they are only increasing.
I agree with all of that except I think you underestimate just how much people's lives are impacted by Jesus. Its hard to have a head on collision with the creator and not be changed. I think its easy to look out into the world, by watching the news, being on the internet, living daily life and come to the conclusion that nothing is getting better and as a result you become pessimistic. If you get out there though and meet new interesting people I think your perspective can change.
@v01741r31 You are completely right... the more i watch and read the news the less i expect from the world. You are a very wise person, respect :D But i do know how much peoples lives are impacted by Jesus and not only him. If religion were to suddenly dissappear allot of people would have a much darker life, with nobody to believe in they would surely sink in sin.
Almost always Propaganda try to create a necessity we don't have or we don't need to live well, or Almost always Propaganda try to sell a lye as an absolute true. Those are facts. Are they moral and ethical facts?
Propaganda is the use of psychology to engineer society, so the propagandist rules the world. Nobody is more powerful, because those who use force control their bodies with their minds. Those who influence or control others' minds influence or control the bodies directed by said minds.
It is power. Power seduces the corrupt. Often, propaganda distorts the truth. The only way to defeat this corruption of society is to fight back in kind.
@CDdubz because psychetruth is black pr engaged in heavy double black pr for the church of scientology so the corporations who fund them can monopolize land, natural resources, and money (gold) to enslave people. they use cleavage and thigh on purpose to subliminally encode messages to you.
Scientists operating from clandestine subterranean lab facilities and applying synthetic telepathy/neuro-impulse weapons technology, all the while claiming psycho-biogentic R&D, have turned America into a huge open-air gulag.
Dang... I wish all my Uni lecturers were as hot as this fine young lady. I had to watch it twice because I completely missed what she said the first time! :P
It's definitely calculated. They are exposing truths...and their bodies which is playing with people's minds. It's things like this that fuel the high numbers of sexual deviants in our society, though everybody is responsible for their own actions. These people couldn't give two cents about the welfare of a family wearing clothing like that. They got an agenda and their credibility is zilch.
@poo0115104 Actually, I couldn't care less about the information, which could be considered random. The techniques used to convey it, however, are very effective. The real purpose of these videos is to learn from those techniques.
lol.............wow! Very old threat.......i'm supprised anyone even cared, but I'm glad that I evoked such strong emotion from you, Negro. We aim to please:)

Ha, ha, you punks out there who would love this slut are pathetic, real men fuck those used goods, and toss them away to you morons who love public exposes, cause you just can't do any better than a community exposed slut !!
No, but it depends in what sense you mean to lie. You can use the truth to deceive, because even if you do present bare bones facts, the human mind has some defects in how we reason. For example, anti-drug ads often point out how most heroine addicts started out with pot. This may be true, but it is misleading, because correlation is often confused with causation.
I have read that literal mind control can be implemented via cell towers. Ones truth is another's lie. But the common ground between opposing truths is the moral/emotional disposition of the person behind the belief system. All you have to do to find out why someone believes something is keep asking why, and almost invariably, bottom line, the reason will be a moral/emotional one. This is why people resist being open minded--its painful. Looking good Rachel ;)
Oh Gawd!!! I gonna propagate all over her glasses and blackpantyhose!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
In studying the history of WWI & II, I learned that the most effective propaganda takes well-established facts, beliefs, or accepted pseudo-science, and manipulates it to support a certain perspective.
My response to palorius is I wrote, "BEFORE" Columbus. I ran out of room to finish so my explanation is incomplete in my response. I think it was Eratosthenes who calculated the circumference of the earth. Aristotle believed the earth was spherical.
totalitarianism govt... i heard some people saying this shit and u have urs .. dont understand how many people will waste their lives even after knowing what the truth is. these things are making half of the world crazy and pshyc truth headquarters is at one of those crazy assylum.
common man this ain't enlightning? whatever iam having cheese burger. cold beer ..
--TheseusTitan-- In truth, Aristotle proved the world was round long before Columbus sailed the seas. He even came within 7% of its true circumference. The Jews knew it since Biblical times (Isaiah 40:22). The first instance of the 'Flat-Earth' myth was in 1874 by Darwinist authors trying to loosen the ties of the Catholic 'infallibility' on the masses.
Ironically, your comment is an excellent example of the effect of propaganda on those who should have asked 'Important Questions'
The news media also adds reinforcement to the idea that the U.S. is a democracy and stops using the concept "republic".
What does this do to the mindset of the average individual in the country? It shifts their thinking and their conclusions. Before Columbus' day, when people thought the world was flat, that idea stopped them from asking important questions, i.e., "if we sail around the world we can get to the East Indies".
this might be a bit fussy but you got the definition wrong.. propaganda isn't 'to spread ideas' it is 'the active spreading of ideas' (i.e. a noun not a verb). propaganda also isnt necessarily spread with 'the attitude that it is the absolute truth'. its only defining characteristic is that it is intended to influence the ideas, actions and beliefs of others whether the propagator believes it is true or not.
Why make this video? People will buy inferior products, due to compelling ads; support and vote for bad leaders, because of best coverage in the media ... Atheist will still be oppressed, as will those deemed Un-American, not French enough, Infidel to Allah, not of Japanese ancestry, or not grateful for the things China has done for you. Quality picture and graphics supporting each statement, cleavage and legs in black stockings(Propaganda move?). All the presenters need lots of Voice Training.
Religion can be correct, but is being used as a cover as well.Divide and conquer they say, even Atheism is a religion, its a belief, just because people use it as a tool for there own purposes doesn't mean it's wrong. All religions except ones that believe in no God have a common belief, that there is something that created us etc.I find nothing wrong with that,it's just the way certain individuals go about using it or interpreting it to the rest of us so that now we shun it and say it's all non-sense
Propaganda is often used to redirect or misdirect attention, that's why it has a negative connotation to it. Public relations and advertising are used more in an informative and emotional way.
Thank you, Rachel, for the informative review (at least in my case) of the proper definitions of propaganda & public relations and the differences between the two. Not everyone on YouTube is so well educated, personally I had forgotten some of these distinctions.
There is certainly a lot of propaganda on YouTube. For example, look at all the "one world order/Illuminati" propaganda that claims as fact that there is some super secret organization that controls politicians and guides their policies. This is claimed as fact without one single shred of fact or offer of proof to back it up. This propaganda is geared towards the kind of people that are more likely to believe it, the ignorant, the lunatic fringe and people with paranoid tendencies.

v01741r31 1 year ago
@v01741r31 How about we reach a final conclusion ? Religion is a great set of ethics and guidelines. But sadly people are not yet mature to take the path of religion without killing, discriminating or breaking some of the commendaments. I think thats pretty real. Dyou agree ?
Forseliz 1 year ago
@Forseliz
I believe God exists, he sent his son to be a light in the dark and to cleanse us of that unrighteousness that is so very present.
v01741r31 1 year ago
@v01741r31 No i just wanted you to agree that people are too imature to accept something as high as religion. Removing it wont happen for a few reasons, one of them being - ITS IMPOSSIBLE to remove it. Secondly well some people are repeating the same mistakes all over again and that should not be forgiven, i mean everyone diserves a chance but not a million chances. As i said before removing religion is impossible. If it WAS removed then the world would be a more progressive place by far ... BUT
Forseliz 1 year ago
@v01741r31 BUT... Also people would loose faith in miracles ( for better or for worse ) they would know that there is no heaven, they would start not caring and litteraly become soulless. That is the bad side of things. Ah and if Jezus is here to clense us from unrightiousness then either he is not doing his job, or hes unsuccseful in doing his job, because unrightiousness, evil and sin are everywhere and they are only increasing.
Forseliz 1 year ago
@Forseliz
If you get out there though and meet new interesting people I think your perspective can change.
v01741r31 1 year ago
@v01741r31 You are completely right... the more i watch and read the news the less i expect from the world. You are a very wise person, respect :D But i do know how much peoples lives are impacted by Jesus and not only him. If religion were to suddenly dissappear allot of people would have a much darker life, with nobody to believe in they would surely sink in sin.

Almost always Propaganda try to create a necessity we don't have or we don't need to live well, or Almost always Propaganda try to sell a lye as an absolute true. Those are facts. Are they moral and ethical facts?
profedgaarcia 1 year ago
The pen is mightier than the sword.

"Does propaganda automatically mean lies?"

AdiemusBC 2 years ago
this might be a bit fussy but you got the definition wrong.. propaganda isn't 'to spread ideas' it is 'the active spreading of ideas' (i.e. a noun not a verb). propaganda also isnt necessarily spread with 'the attitude that it is the absolute truth'. its only defining characteristic is that it is intended to influence the ideas, actions and beliefs of others whether the propagator believes it is true or not.

GOD = Global Destruction & Oppression
True propaganda
Apparently there is approximately 37000 religions in the world today.
They all think that they are the only one that is right.
Are not the odds of the one that you believe in have a astronomical chance of being wrong as well?
Maybe it is time to rethink things...
Idocare101 2 years ago

Another great video Rachel. :-)
michaelsasylum 2 years ago
Thank you, Rachel, for the informative review (at least in my case) of the proper definitions of propaganda & public relations and the differences between the two. Not everyone on YouTube is so well educated, personally I had forgotten some of these distinctions.
edthewicked 2 years ago
There is certainly a lot of propaganda on YouTube. For example, look at all the "one world order/Illuminati" propaganda that claims as fact that there is some super secret organization that controls politicians and guides their policies. This is claimed as fact without one single shred of fact or offer of proof to back it up. This propaganda is geared towards the kind of people that are more likely to believe it, the ignorant, the lunatic fringe and people with paranoid tendencies.
