Yeah, honestly, if I had never heard any songs from sc2 or sc1 in my life, I would have to say that I would simply say that sc2 music is better. You can just tell they put alot more effort into sc2 music.

The thing I liked about starcraft 1 wasn't the gameplay, it was this music, and the cinematics. Everything was really dark, the zerg were actually scary, the terrans in uniform were lifeless and cold, and the blood and gore was kind of cheesy, but dark.

Don't get me wrong, the gameplay was great. but I feel alot more nostalgic watching a cinematic than I do actually playing the game

I remember having a living hell to not be able to beat "hammer falls". Strategy included taking out both bases before going after the ion cannon, that was pretty hard to do. Present strategy is involving loads of early siege tanks and flying scouting units taking out the northwst white base first, and then bunker up and nuke the red base back to the stone age. And then finish of the ion cannon :)
