Here in Germany, I just read a report about getting downloads into the charts, they wrote: "Only expensive is successful."...they meant, here, the number of purchases isn't as important as the turnover of all together!?
Does anybody know more, how the it works in the UK?
Have you found info about the charting position the song reached in December 2011 even if in the Top 200 from position 100 onwards? Is there a link or reference about this chart appearance?
Really hope this song gets all the credit that it deserves RAW talent....better then 98% of the Christmas songs out there now or wanna be's or has been's flogging off a

@CanadaguyRudey1 It's a known bug apparently. Some say it is caused by people viewing the video over and over from the same IP address, the Youtube system then suspects that people are trying to increase hits on their own video, so they are disabled whilst the system calculates which are legitimate hits. We have contacted Youtube to no avail, but hopefully it'll catch up as the hits die down in the new year.
1. Just go on the song, then write the name of the song again in the searching line, where all videos concerning FSB appear, there you can read it..

3. Never tried clicking to encrease the number (I already bought the song), I had to come here for the comments (should be seperated by youtube?), because I care what's going on with this gorgeous song!

One final note regarding campaign of next year. It should not be just the main single, but have added bonuses featuring various artists (singers, bands, DJs, club mix artists, church or school choirs, television and radio personalities, indie favourite figures...) interpreting it in bonus tracks on the 2012 release. Involving Cliff Richard for example to sing as a cameo appearance and making it public will create enough controversy, haters, but yes also buyers, just to rub the noses of BBC/ITV
Another point. There are charts other than UK and US you know. Scandinavians cater a special taste in their charts (Sweden, Norway, Denmark). Look at case of American Idol contestant Chris Medina, a mediocre no show appearance on Billboard but #1 for many weeks in these charts. Also there are smaller anglophone charts in Europe Asia Africa (like in Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Australia, South Africa... Since your aim is to make it reach official charts... try radios in these places...
@myuuuzik Valid points and if you look back through my postings you will see that I said 'let's make this a Christmas No 1 in other countries besides the UK' The trouble is, I'm from the UK and don't know about charts in other countries or what radio stations to contact etc so I rely on input from fans of the song in those countries. Email me via my channel - If you think it will help promote the song then I WILL do it. I just want this song/band to succeed :)
I am sad that the song didn't make it to the all-important British Top 40. But did it appear let's say in the Top 100 or at least in the "Bubbling Under" sort of chart beyond the Top 100.. considered like 101-200 chart? A second point... It is I think easier to arrange for it to be featured in some Christmas ad. That way the song will be heard through the ad whether ITV wants it or not. I think advertisers are more open, since you have more sympathetic ad directors than there radio DJs are
@myuuuzik I think it got to 156 (or thereabouts) A good position despite lack of support from media. Ireland appeared to appreciate the song - don't know how well it did though. Can't speak for Leigh about ads but he has an animation planned based on the characters in the video which sounds truly wonderful. Also a new album planned for 2012 so lots to push in 2012. I've also heard CH4 are remaking 'The Snowman' and advised Leigh to contact them to see if he can do some music for it.

@BegurWhatElse Don't worry - I'm NOT giving up. Far from it. They say what doesn't kill u only makes u stronger. When radio stations in the UK chose to IGNORE the song AGAIN they placed Mount Everest in our way. So, for 2012 we somehow need to overcome this by getting the song on mainstream radio. I've set up a petition that I'll send 2 radio statons with the CD in Nov 2012 (with as many names a psssible supporting it). Don't know whether it will work or not but it's worth a try!

@MrMarks4 A bit of both - it's manufactured in the sense that it's been built but they've basically taken old Victorian buildings and moved them brick by brick to Blists Hill to preserve them. It's well worth a visit :)

I think it is a dam shame that the radio stations refuse to play this song when it is clearly one of the best christmas songs out this year. Leigh & several members of the band will be at Blist's Hill Victorian town in Telford, Shropshire tomorrow (Sunday 18th) Leigh will be dressed as his Victorian alter-ego "Travis Shenanigans" in the video along with the other band members. @tunesinmyhead The BIG PROBLEM is mainstream radio in UK are refusing to play it. They've got a STUPID BENCHMARK which basically says "IF IT AIN'T FROM A BIG RECORD COMPANY IT DON'T GET PLAYED" So, they're basically all 4 lining the pockets of SYCO, SONY, EMI etc & the little guy with the big heart doesn't get a sniff. I'M APPEALING 2 EVERY1 (Especially those in UK) 2 request it on as many mainstream stations as possible. If they get enough then maybe they'll change their minds!

@MrMarks4 A bit of both - it's manufactured in the sense that it's been built but they've basically taken old Victorian buildings and moved them brick by brick to Blists Hill to preserve them. It's well worth a visit :)

FACT: The ratio of views to downloads on YOUTUBE is VERY small. The song had less than 1000 legal downloads last Christmas despite there being NO GREEDY record company profitting. SO, If you're taking the time to click on 'LIKE' above, I urge you to please head over to iTunes and download the track as profits are going to charity. In the UK it's only 79p. I think it is a dam shame that the radio stations refuse to play this song when it is clearly one of the best christmas songs out this year. Why would we want to listen to X factor crap when we could have songs like this instead. Its all about the money and not the song and talent these dayse, bull if you ask me

Leigh & several members of the band will be at Blist's Hill Victorian town in Telford, Shropshire tomorrow (Sunday 18th) Leigh will be dressed as his Victorian alter-ego "Travis Shenanigans" in the video along with the other band members. Blist's hill opens at 10am and Leigh is hoping to get there between 10am & 11am.

This is by far one of the truly best Christmas songs that I've heard in a long time. Especially in an age which is filled with depression and gloom with nothing only recessions worldwide, it is a gift from heaven to listen to this. @silentfish14 Very true, however people are being deprived of this beautiful song & that ain't right. Not when you consider some of the rubbish out there that gets airplay on mainstream radio. I've tweeted every1 connected with ITV/Text Santa that I can think of 2 spread the song. I've managed to get a few re-tweets so far - the biggest 2 around 55,000 people so hopefully it will help. I urge people 2 do the same. Show Leigh that he has a following & we'll buy the album next year!!

Why can't you get this out there when those 4 karaoke girls are given a crap song as their karaoke winners song which is not Christmassy. They would have been better off releasing Silent night! @tunesinmyhead The BIG PROBLEM is mainstream radio in UK are refusing to play it. They've got a STUPID BENCHMARK which basically says "IF IT AIN'T FROM A BIG RECORD COMPANY IT DON'T GET PLAYED" So, they're basically all 4 lining the pockets of SYCO, SONY, EMI etc & the little guy with the big heart doesn't get a sniff. I'M APPEALING 2 EVERY1 (Especially those in UK) 2 request it on as many mainstream stations as possible. If they get enough then maybe they'll change their minds!
