  • Nice... my first bike also was a Vulcan 500... a 1994... loved that bike.

  • Nice bike. You have a great wife my friend, So let her know it.lol I have one as well a 04 model, that is. My wife did not give me a bike. I like the way the gauges are on your bike, There where they should be. Mine is on the gas tank, and it makes it harder to see the speed while riding. I do have a ? for you. How much oil does it take to fill with a filter change. Another what MPG to a tank do you get ? BTW I like your wheels better then the spooked type mine has. Thank's in advance, yl

  • @ylism Thanks. The '96 takes 3.2L to change the oil and filter. Gas mileage is somewhere between 50-60 MPG depending how you ride. 2.5 gallon tank.....so 100-120 miles to the tank. I think yours is like a 3-4 gallon tank?? Mag wheels are kinda nice...no need to tune anything. Belt drive....the older Vulcans are pretty low maintenance.

Enjoy your ride, and ride safe.

  • @p0kerp1aya I just took note that I said my wheels where Spooked, Instead of having spoke's. Yes mine does have a 4 gal tank, and I get around 200 -220 miles before needing around 3.24 gal of gas. Would be nice to have the belt drive. I would like to find an older bike with all those parts. I would change some over. Unless the bike was a good running bike. Then I would have 2. Thank's for the info on the oil. I would think there the same in that respect.. Thank's again, yl

  • @p0kerp1aya what's the mgp?

  • @ilikesuzuki between 50-60 mpg....depends on how you ride

  • If you need help figuring anything out with her check out vulcan500 . com

  • @quimrider1 thanks :)

  • I think I like 'Christine'.... Christine! Evil Kawasaki of Doooooooom!

  • Looks like you have belt drive. In mid 1996 they switched to chain drive.

With the mags and belt drive it makes for way less maintenance.

My Vulcan 500 is a 1991 named CruNinja.

  • Nice very nice swap ya for a honda 50 lol

  • @larrythelookout Ah, sorry bud.....no deal. :)

  • @jnt4life I haven't checked with a body shop yet about the dent. I may just leave it for a bit. I'll prolly add to it! I got over to the church parking lot later to ride around. I almost dropped her. I was in a turn and grabbed the clutch too early, not enough power to make the turn. So I panicked and grabbed the front brake. Yep I learned something! What NOT to do LOL

  • @jnt4life Thank you for the complements! I will say I've got a wonderful wife and love her dearly. I was a little freaked out 'cause that's a new battery I just put in. Then it hit me. I went over pulled in the clutch and BOOM! She fired right up.

  • I bought one last year, 1994 with 18k kilometers, same colour as yours, a great donkey and an indestructible motor engine... enjoy it and take care...
