The story may have had a purpose but it has been forgotten and is being taken literally - though they get it wrong. Noah took two each of the *unclean* animals and seven each of the *clean* animals.
I believe in God. I embrace evolution. Why? What is a day to an infinite being? Life is constantly changing.
If you believe in evolution, you can still be a Christian. Christ never said anything about evolution. Just because some guy 2500 years ago who wrote the Book of Genesis, who did not know that the world was not flat and had no concept of evolution does not mean I have to believe him to be Christian. You just have to believe in Christ to be Christian. Some of you are so silly.
I suppose it never occurred to the person who made this video that at the time of the Ark, there weren't any of the creatures mentioned, but after the flood, animals evolved and changed due to their new environments. Even so, this just looks like another butthurt atheist who didn't like going to sunday school. QQ moar. For people who don't believe in God, they sure talk a lot about him.
@jaskitch Lol, you're not a Christian, so what do you know? Religion and science are one and the same. The idea that evolution defies God is like saying a wheel is not round.
@Yuilen LOL? an unevolved human used tools and built an arc, gathered unevolved animals, and then ... evolved ? why have i not heard this theory around the scientific community ? they must be too butthurt being atheist
@drewloucks Yep. Unevolved in their current world, but if you flooded the entire world for 40 days, a lot of things would be different, especially the environment. Animals evolve over time to survive. Humans who migrated to Europe had their skin become whiter with every generation, while humans who migrated to Africa had their skin become darker with every generation.
@Koshy2 Lol, Darwin never claimed that humans evolved from animals, he was a Christian who simply noticed how ANIMALS evolve due to their surroundings. Other people who hated Christianity or Catholicism and wanted something to rally around stole his ideas and claimed that humans came from monkeys, not from God. That's how your "belief" began. Humans were made, they didn't evolve. That "missing link" which so many atheists go on about, they will never find it, because it doesn't exist.
@Yuilen Your level of ignorance regarding evolutionary science is astounding.
Charles Darwin didn't talk about the evolution of man in his seminal work "On the Origin of Species", but he most definitely did in "The Descent of Man". You should make an effort to read both.
There are astounding truths to be provided by the scientific knowledge available to us. For instance, did you know that ALL 4- limbed species of life on earth evolved from an ancestral fish.
@parallelsdumaurier Way to show your own intellect by insulting me in the first sentence. Really, bravo, as if you're a hair's breadth more informed than I am. In the words of an old Indian chief, "Your ancestors may have been monkeys, but not mine."
Some gynogenetic animals, like mole salamanders, are also all-female. They reproduce after sex with a different species' male....lots of fun for another video!
Noah's Ark could NOT be found. Noah's Flood caused the geological K-T layer (65.5 ± 0.3 millions years ago) and killed all dinosaurs at that time. This is according to a new pure scientific theory by Dr. Aly Elshabasy as in muslimengineers point org
@chroylikesfish I think it is more about challenging the idea that ALL animals are herteronormative. Humans, like the other animals, are also hermaphrodites, bisexual, and homosexual. The Noah myth, as the great flood myth, is transcultural, which makes it a valid myth, like you said.
@thescorpionking2020 about 30% of America still thinks the myths are literally true (and children still thnk santa is real). I dont think the psychoaitrist can help them develop into formal operational thinking. we dont know why some people stay at infantile levels of religion and awareness.
@KazziKolorZz I disagree. the details were wrong (or "creative') because it was a myth, but the meanings and symbolic power of the myth are not bullshit. Like all myths, its filled with potent imagery. I heard a pastor the other day say that Noah's Arc is a symbol for the church itself, which can carry us through our crisis. It can also symbolize the earth itself, the great cosmic ark. Literalism is always a silly way to treat myths.
@davidtitterington Well if the bible itself was looked at as a symbolic myth not to be taken literally, it wouldn't be bullshit, but unfortunately it's just not taken that way by 99% of christians.
Great points in the video, meanwhile in Kentucky they are cutting educational funding to build a life-size Ark bible theme park. We're so fucked.

Why is that people of faith who proclaim with pride their devotion to being humble, are the least humble of all?

i dont get it? this one fact on "insects" that no body has ever heard of proves that Noahs ark is fake?????

Natures imagination is far superior to that of man.
Our invented Gods pale in comparison to the true miracle that is nature.
