The mercedes from 2001/02 or 03,i cant remember, had such an amazing sound. The magnesium alloy engine produced sych a sweet note that sadly will never be heard at full whack ever again.

To be honest, with everyone asking about V12's, at the time, I didn't really know enough about it. However, If I was to make a new film, same concept, except intead of 2000-2010, I'll do best onboard's in history. Also, a few of those V8's will be ditched in the new film in favour for the 04' Honda or the 04/05' Ferrari's.

The V12 "just" screamsa bit more, when the engine reaches high rev./minute.

Nope. In 2014, the engines will be 1.6l V6 turbo units. The original plan was to make them inline-4 turbo units in 2013 but an agreement was made to 1) delay the change until 2014 and 2) employ a V6 because it would allow the chassis to maintain its stiffness without a space frame, increasing development costs - it was argued that an inline-4 unit could not be a load-bearing part of the chassis without one.

IMO, there is far too much V8 presence. I think it's a travesty you didn't include the Mercedes FO110J/K from the McLaren MP4-15/16 or the Ferrari 050 from the Ferrari F2001. Other honourable mentions would also include the Honda RA001E from the Jordan EJ11 and the BMW P80 from the Williams FW23.
