What is Physiotherapy & Osteopathy and how does it work?

I have sciatica and Artiritis and im in a lot of pain all the time

my doctor has refered me too a physiotherapist and i shall be going along soon :)

which degree is more difficult, science-wise: physiotherapist or occupational therapist?

@cl3angetaway physiotherapy- its more science based and you need to know more Anatomy, physiology as well as Biomechanics

@Smags31 HAHA, U must be joking right, Osteopathy learns the deepest anatomy and physiology there is, they deal with all the functional disorders, Techniques include Visceral manipulation, muscle energy, adjustments, advanced fascial NMJ techniques and maps, and D.O. learns Medicine and Surgery, get your facts straigh, all PT do is Electrical Therapy and UltraSound, barely any real soft tissue work and their assesments are very limited

@EuroPhantom22 Not sure what physiotherapy clinics you go to but PT do a lot more than just modalities. Its a ton of manual work and if needed manipulations of the joints are also done. Assessments are very Limited? What sense? I think you are the one that needs to get your facts straight. I don't get why you got so angry- OT and PT are different but they compliment each other. I do respect all osteopaths and have nothing against the profession, but I have a deep respect for the PT profession.
