@107ii Hi thanks for your comment. We started by taking her to a gently sloping sandy beach at low tide and played ball games on the sand. At first she was afraid of the sea but after a few visits to the beach she gained confidence and became curious of the water. Soon she was paddling and playing in the shallow water, and eventually she went further out and began to swim. Now whenever we pass a river, pond etc she wants to jump straight in! Good luck, and we hope your Staffy changes his mind!
