@marsawgirl Calling Angel the original Edward is kinda like saying Edward shares even a sliver of Angel's depth (aside from both being vampires; that's an obvious similarity I'll leave as a given). Angel is so much more awesome and complex, and frick, for all the angst in Twilight, I'm not sure Edward really suffers all that much. You could feel Angel's torment. It's even worse for him, since Edward never suffered a past as a serial murderer, nor was he in love with a slayer.

To be fair, season 8 was written to imitate the classic comic book genre (multiple universes, possessions, deaths, resurrections, outrageous superpowers). Some of Whedon's fans were disappointed, and he got the message that he should stick to keeping the comics more personal with core-characters POV rather than fantastical. For that, I haven't given up on Season 9.

Besides If I see a B/A reunion in any form that Joss says so, I will accept it gladly :) He needs to let them be HAPPY ALREADY!!!

@ncischick99 when angel lost his soul and turned evil he opened a portal to a hell dimension that was going to engulf the earth. Because Angel's blood opened the portal, his blood was the only thing that could close the portal so she had to kill him...unless she wanted to try to have a romantic tryst in a hell dimension--I don't think that would have ended great for either of them. Hadn't seen that episode in 6 years and can recount every moment :)

As for your number 1 I love it. My number 1 scene is your 3. The reason for me is it's so heartbreaking. They almost had it and yet their time is not quite there for them (if ever). Angel loving her so much and yet knowing they can never be truely happy if he could not fight the evil with her. That why I love Angel as a character giving up his dream life with Buffy knowing it's not their moment. The ultimate sacrifice. Loved this scene even more cos of the real emotions that DB & SMG are having

A great top ten. Loved them all. One with I still love to this day is one where there are no words between them. It's from 'Graduation Day' part 2 in one of the last moments when it all done and they victory. Buffy is standing amongst the ruins looking around her and then she gets that feeling and turns and there he is, her soulmate. They look at each other with such love and longing but know the time has now come to part. One more moment for Angel and then he turns and walks away.

I came to find this video when I was tired of pausing and rewinding "I Will Remember You" right before the end. I just needed something that kept me in the moments of Buffy & Angel and these vids did it perfectly.

okay people, I have this kinda weird theory about "I Will Remember you."

When Buffy is crying to Angel, and when she says "What we had, what we could've had."

...I just think that when Buffy says "What we could've had." she is referring to them making love when Angel was human...and I can't help but wonder if Buffy is talking about (without actually saying the words) her and Angel possibly trying to get her pregnant...I dunno...Is there anyone out there who has an opinion about my theory?

My mind chooses to blackout everything until "I Will Remember You", for the most part. Bittersweet bliss summed up by this GREAT video!

And there's the prophecy about "a vampire with a soul" repaying his debt to the Powers that Be or something and then being rewarded with humanity. Angel asks Buffy if she sees a future with him and she says it would be years, if ever, but she does sometimes think about it. It'll never be over between them.

@Nattasha87 who will be deleted from youtube? I saw that Dracula ep a while ago, remembered that the guy who plays Dracula actually plays Dracula in a TV mini series that same year. Spike and Buffy seems like a phase, not something that would last, and Riley was because of Joss Whedon's wish for "no more damn vampire's", he was sick of writing about vampire love. I know everyone on the show wanted B/A to end up, but the show must go on and Angel having a spinoff made it impossible for a reuinion

funny thing is that Buffy and Angel are still engaged. the rings are changed when you get engaged and they never formally ended their relationship. Time for those two to get married, at least they could get that one right in the comics

I've read Angel after the fall and the last two arcs off Buffy season 8 and they aren't married and they're realationship seems completely ended with Angel going psycho ad Buffy being the one who does everything right.
