  • Was that a restaurant they were at when they were having that meeting? It seemed awful quiet for one.

  • Chris Langham had a gross mustache then. I'm glad he didn't have it when he did the Muppet Show as a guest.

  • That is so funny all of the muppeteers had either a beard or a mustache

  • Lol Frank Oz is eating during the meeting

  • "for safety precatioutions, while they were dozing i chained them to their chairs"

  • It's hard to imagine how complex the puppetry on this show was, but I think some of the later shows like Fraggle Rock and Dinosaurs were a lot more complex than this!

  • The Gopher song can seriously get stuck in ur head! It's so catchy!

  • you dont look like a gopher

  • hi bossssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • I didn't notice before, but some of the mics are customized for the performers AND characters! Jim Henson's was green and the headband had Kermit's face in a cool design on it, Frank Oz's was brown and fuzzy when he was playing Fozzie and pink when he was Miss Piggy, and Dave Goelz's is Gonzo's head! Yet another way the Muppets are awesome in big and small ways :)

  • I want to go back in time and give Richard Hunt a big ol' hug. :D

  • big beards were definitely in fashion back then weren't they......

  • An amazing group of people. Absolutely astounding.

  • Louise Gold was the best at voices, wasn't she? You'd never know she was British unless you either heard her own voice or someone told you.

  • Best job in the world!

  • Chris Langham? I had no idea he was a writer on this show.

  • This job looks very fun!. And very uncomfortable!

  • @christimacc Yeah you can see two people operating Fozzie in that one scene!

I think the characters on some their later shows like Fraggle Rock and Dinosaurs were a lot harder than this!

  • 7:24 Lousie Gold has a darn good singing voice!

  • @antsamthompson9 She's been in a lot of West End Musicals, like "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "Mamma Mia". :)

  • @LaDracul I didn't know that.

  • beard factory.

  • I want to be a puppeteer when I grow up and I had no idea it was THIS hard!!!!!

  • @iSkitbros Just keep on trying.

  • @collgoff tthanks

  • @iSkitbros Your welcome!

  • Steve looks a tiny bit like the Crocodile Hunter... minus the beard though. Only Jim could rock the beard.

  • I also love the voice talents of Jim Henson, Dave Goelz, Frank Oz, Richard Hunt, Jerry Nelson and Steve Whitmire! They are awesome at doing the Muppet voices!

  • 'hi! i'm Scooter'

    'cute. cute name' XD

    love you Richard, RIP

  • Jim had a really soothing voice.

  • hope jason segal and Co can bring the muppets back to their classic greatness

  • I love Gonzo! He's one of my favorite muppets.

  • I liked it when Louise Gold nearly choked from laughing.

  • beards were really fashionable back then

  • I have a room for life at the room for the chronicaly groovy haha

  • For some reason i can listen to jim and frank talk all day.

  • I am big fan of Jim Henson aka Kermit

Frank Oz as the Beautiful Miss Piggy

    and Dave Golez as Gonzo

Steve Whitmire as Rizzo the Rat!!!

  • Kermit and Miss Piggy relationship with each other on The Muppet Show makes the muppets who they are today!!! Jim Henson and Frank Oz will aways BE THE ONE and ONLY KERMIT and MISS PIGGY SHOW from in the past!!!!

  • I like watching behind the scenes of stuff like the muppets and sesame street, and seeing both sides of the show

  • that's the true magic only Jim could posses. he showed you what he was doing , every step of the way, yet we still believed and we were still fascinated how it all came together

  • i'm fascinated by the behind the scenes videos i've seen on youtube (bless you, youtube). I love just hearing jim's voice, and seeing the whole crew's process and getting a glimpse of the genius philosphies and creativity they all brought... RIP Jim, Richard, Jerry

  • What is that clip at 5:42 to 5:57?

  • That was from the episode with Roger Moore as a guest star :D

  • wow your old..

  • sorry but i'm 21. i only know this because these episodes are on dvd.

  • they all have beards

  • Must be the no-shaving month. The have then at Pixar, you can bet they had them there.

  • the great minds of pixar and the muppets. engaging in beard contests

  • Aw, Jim Henson AND Richard Hunt. RIP both of them.

  • Gonzo's eyelids fly back when he says "LUNATIC daring". Lunatic is right, but you can't help but love him. Dave was one of my favorite performers, and Gonzo one of my fave characters.

  • i know don't ya just love him?

  • Chris Langham, before all the...unpleasantness...

  • That looks like the best job ever.

  • I personaly like Steve Whittmire without the beard.

  • Yeah. I didn't even know he used to have a beard. I guess I didn't know much about him before he started playing Kermit.

  • True magicians...so positive!

  • Yeah, Steve looks like a Sailor with that beard, I guess he could only grow a mustache! I was crying from laughing so hard at the fish garggles in the sound studio!

  • yeah :D

    "she's drowning!"

    hehe :OP

  • Man! I wish Jim Henson was still alive.

  • Lol, yeah I know! Well it was the '70s, freedom to grow your hair long and all that. :D

  • As it should be with frank oz HE IS A GENIOUS!!!!

  • Thanks for making me cry.
