I watched this young man perform and for some reason he reminded me of my nephew. I cried and couldn't explain why. Then in Sept.2010, we lost him in a swimming accident. Now, it's still hard to watch him but comforting at the same time. I find the song choice amazing for my situation. I thought he was great!

Sure, this guy will not win the competition, but he does have talent and there is definitely something special in his performance. @lAmMichaelSwearingen The song was picked to relay what he feels when he is working with his kites and what he wants everyone watching to feel when we are watching the movements. Not for us to feel sorry for him or look down on him in anyway which sounds like what you are doing.

I can not believe people are discussing this still. Someone responded to my post from months ago. The name of this show is America Got Talent. Not America got pitty. I get it, it is cute. However, what he did with this kite was not talent. I have trigeminal neuralgia. Sometimes it is hard for me to open my mouth. But, I have more respect for myself and your time than to go on national TV to make puppet faces. However, this would be difficult for me. My 12 year old flies a kite. Grow up

@str8out It is a retarded kid on a show that did something my 12 year old could do. The name of the show was not we have pitty for retarded kids rather we have talent. I get it; it is a shame. Possibly he should do special olympics. The fact he is retarded does not mean we should pretend his kite flying is amazing. If he likes it cool. However, he was quickly voted off never stood a chance. So ti was a pity vote. I am neither jealous or bitter. Rather stating truly obvious facts :)

I thought it was remarkable, just the way he did it. When he walked out at first I thought it would be lame and a pity party, but I was wrong. I was happy to see him later in the show and voted for him. Indoor kite flying is not as simple as he makes it look here, there is no wind to hold the kite up. To synchronize it to music is even trickier.

Give it up. The retarded kid lost and for good reason. The company who owned the kite he flew pasted this publicity stunt all over the internet, magazines and their website. Honestly it was exploitation of a handicap man. Anyhow - he lost.

Half the things on AGT are not fit to be vegas acts. I knew prefectly well there was no chance in hell he would win or be a vegas act but I enjoyed seeing his performances all the same. Funny, I never saw one of those ads.
